QUOTE(uzary @ Jan 18 2013, 12:22 AM) To answer your question I guess we need to wait till the phone released and hope someone will test it under sudden change of temperature. u sure it's not? cos i remember it is gorilla glass, front and back But IMO, if the glass indeed dragontrail, I assumed it able to withstand that sudden change of temperature unless the temp is too extreme. Btw iinm the back of nexus 4 wasn't even a gorilla glass thus explained why the glass may crack with sudden change of temp. |

QUOTE(uzary @ Jan 18 2013, 12:26 AM) Btw I kept asking myself n wonder why most preview I read stated the glass is a tempered glass in general? If the glass is dragontrail, why they didn't mentioned it? There were few preview or article bout Xperia z stated Sony used the drgontrail glass, but Sony themselves didn't say so. I wonder why.? yup yup yupi wondered the same thing also. maybe it's sony's own manufactured glass? |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jan 18 2013, 10:40 AM) If SONY want to success back to top, SONY need to be keep it promising. i hope so bro... i really do...This time is pure SONY, no any shadow of Ericsson, I am sure it was internally big change for the company structure. but sony did make better progress this time, judging from the quick SE asia launch event in SG recently. |

QUOTE(sebastianX11 @ Jan 18 2013, 11:15 AM) sad but true yeah... i am starting to realise batt life is getting more important now, as i am into gaming recently!!!yes... agreed with you when comparing the hands on video, the icon is very washed out as washed out as the icons on my Nexus 7 and it uses the zero gap , the icons should look like its floating, if you get what i mean. One X gives you that feel as if the icon jut out and maintaning its colour thisZ color is def off but take away nothing when viewing it from the correct angle....its superb!! its a nit picking from my part but other pros of this phone outweigh this con. i am waiting for batt review and if it at par with note 2.... its definitely the perfect phone |

QUOTE(soulseeker6187 @ Jan 18 2013, 11:39 AM) color saturation on a phone is self preference. yeah...it all comes down to personal preference laits not like im going to do graphic editing on a phone. I always use my phone to watch videos, and amoled gives the most pleasant experience, coz of the deep black and vibrant colors. no doubt, amoled screen produce more vivid colour and better viewing angles compared to lcd. blue looks bluer and red looks redder, which result in deeper colour and better contrast. i am sure everything look so beautiful on the amoled screen. but it also resulted in "fake" screen as some bro points out. in reality an apple do not look as red as what was displayed in a amoled screen. sky does not look as blue as in amoled screen. and thus all the terms "too vivid" or "over saturated" for amoled screen pops out. in the end, if u like colourful and vivid screen, u won't go wrong with amoled screen. if u prefer more natural looking screen, lcd or the ips did better job |

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Jan 18 2013, 04:12 PM) my friend also bought a Sony TV instead of milk powder for his son. and because of this, i blame Sony for designing Bravia and Triniton which started it all. Damn you Sony. Now my friend son hungry because of Sony. What an amazing blaming system. how can someone stoop so low Correct la.. the other orifice is used i persume for eating only got really black (pixels totally off), not so black (the pixels turned down as much as possible but still a little light), and bad bad greyish (evident when they don't bother to calibrate their displays at all or bad design, or i don't know as per TS's logic, misinterpretation) u say LCD because u watch pirated DVD? got really poor dvd quality. AMOLED is good for black blacks but isn't good for contrast. red is too red, washing out any lighter reds that may be beside those blacks. there is different types of blacks, those from the Bronx, those from Africa, those from Latin America. (assuming u talking about the crush on black people) man... u r so funny la... dunno what u said is joke and what is fact... speechless, dunno how to ask further question i'm not too much into those technical terms or what's their diff. but based on what i observed on diff screen, yes, AMOLED did produce better picture quality with bright colours. deeper blacks... maybe LCD on sony phones, so far i did notice picture is abit washout (dunno if it's the correct term but i did read some reviewer using this term on sony xperia product). there are some comments on the xperia t, ion and the recently z about display abit washout. i have to use a screen filter on my acro s to solve the problem and yes, lcd on my acro s also have poorer viewing angle black crush? no, i only have "white crush"... with my phone |

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Jan 18 2013, 04:34 PM) you sir, have my utmost respect for kicking him in the balls that's y i did say previously most of the time we will look at our phone directly. and so personally i actually don't see the poor viewing angle as a big issue. but some bros here disagree and says it's like a big thing...![]() there's still no perfect phone. IIRC the Xperia Z uses some sort of a filter too, with their mobile bravia or some sort of tech to increase contrast in their washed out images. and they have poor viewing angles. but why would u want to look at your tiny phone screen from an extreme angle? chicken eyes ah? white crush? you dating angmoh kia/moi? angmoh moi??? soon... real soon... |
