Hi Asusmy,

Just bought Rt-ac68u, set it up, upgraded to latest firmware and everything was ok.

Then suddenly, dunno what happened this message appears "Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh. Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from RT-AC68U."

Now I can't access router GUI even with wired connection. I've tried factory reset and reboot router numerous times. HELP!

I'm on unifi home 10mb and accessing router via safari on Mac osx.
*
you enable https Authentication Method for router GUI?

if enabled, try https://x.x.x.x:8443
x.x.x.x is your router ip, default should be 192.168.1.1

QUOTE(gbsters @ Aug 10 2014, 05:07 PM)
Yeah...

I can't access the router's GUI so I won't be able to upgrade or downgrade the firmware. What else can I do?

Maybe I should return it to the Kedai?

Oh and thank you for the suggestions guys

i bought RT-AC56U last month, yours is AC68U, should be same on how to go to rescue mode, mine also unable to do factory reset after i press the reset button, but i follow the above video for rescue mode provided by ASUSmy, it is now able to do factory reset through the physical button at the back

According to Asus Malaysia routers warranty claims procedure.. Their service centers won't accept it from a consumer.. You know, like any other customer-oriented manufacturer.. Yeah, shocking! You have to return it to the seller and have them claim for you..
*
QUOTE(Mubarak90 @ Jan 11 2017, 11:08 AM)
Well, if the E-Gate Asus Service Centre won't accept, then you probably need to send back to the shop where you bought it. The Asus Service Centre at E-Gate building is at the same floor as PC Depot and Samsung Service Centre. E-Gate is located in between Caltex Petrol Station and Tesco Mall Jelutong.
*
ok thanks

but i just found that is the AC adapter spoil, 19V 1.75A, very difficult to find one sad.gif

how about Asus router bought from Lazada Asus official store? ASUSmy, is that need to send back lazada? or can we send directly to Asus service center?

The model number was staring you in the face. That's a D-Link DIR-615. Now why would you expect a dedicated Asus rep (and thread) to answer questions about a competitor's product? Besides, that's an old and basic N router from at least 2009. Even TM has stopped issuing it to subscribers.
Interesting.. I would like to know the answer too.  hmm.gif

if the shop we bought Asus router close already within 3 years then how 😂

so weird we walk in directly to service center get rejected
some shop prefer we send in ourself which is faster

ASUSmy can help advise on this?

Hi vez,

Yes, because the people who sell the router in Lazada also is retailer. I believe they will provide you the shop details in the invoice/receipt.

Thank you
*
but i saw there is one Asus Official Store in Lazada, is that mean is a retailer just name them as Asus Official Store??
How if the retailer no longer exists after 2 years? We unable to find the seller so our router no longer can claim warranty?

Hi vez,

When you click at the products that you want to purchase, at the bottom, they will show the seller information.

If the seller closed down within 2 years, you can always PM me here or call our hotline at 1300 88 3495, we will guide you how to claim the warranty.

Thank you
*

Hi All,

I know that most of you have concern on claiming the warranty for ASUS networking device if the place you bought closed down or too far away.

This year we have appointed our supplier to be our ASP(ASUS service partner) for networking and for other selected products.

I will post the details on the first page once it is ready.

Thank you
*
Thanks for your help and explanation smile.gif

it will be good in future if local state Asus service center can accept customer walk in by themselves... get back to the seller is troublesome some time, have to wait them slowly send in biggrin.gif a lot other computer peripherals, i used to send back to the shop for warranty, but they advise me directly go to service center because it will be faster biggrin.gif

ASUSmy
i am using RT-AC68U, latest firmware

when i NAT Acceleration CTF (Cut Through Forwarding) is enabled i can get max speed 500Mbps for my UniFi 500Mbps package

when i disabled it, i only can get 300Mbps

the problem is when i enabled, after few days, my speed test might drop and drop until 20-30Mbps... if disabled, i can consistently getting 300Mbps forever when running speed test (somehow unable to achieve 500Mbps)

any Asus sifus can helps? if i leave it disabled, my speed test only close to 300Mbps unable to reach 500Mbps
if i leave if enabled, day by day the router speed seems dropping and have to restart

Have you attach fans at the behind of your router to reduce heat? I heard that RT-AC68U is always got overheat issue and will reduce performance when overheating.

NAT Acceleration will consume much of CPU usage and overheating. Like you say if disable can get stable 300mbps.
Or you can upgrade to RT-AC86U and make your current router as AiMesh node. RT-AC86U do not has NAT acceleration option because its CPU is already powerful enough to speed up your 500mbps.
*
i also think want to change to 86U, if it was old router unable to support 500Mbps and need rely on NAT acceleration, i might as well grab a new one biggrin.gif just wonder whether 86U will have same issue sweat.gif if getting new one no need rely on NAT acceleration that causes problem, i will just get a new one since this 68U i use for 2-3 years already... can just make it as second router

AC86U don't have overheating issue, CPU is 1.8Ghz dual core. Faster than AC88U and has a very powerful long range 2.4Ghz.
*
good, i might as well look for newer router thumbsup.gif btw, 86U is newer than 88U right?
thanks

Hi, can you let me know what setting have to setup? Coz I have maxis fiber 300Mbps but I only get 100plus Mbps only. I use RT AC-86u
*
using LAN cable? if yes (speed test only accurate using LAN, to test able to achieve max or not laugh.gif) try this settings, go to LAN > Switch Control > NAT Acceleration (choose AUTO if not mistaken, i just change to tplink router, unable to print screen for you)
i remembered this setting is bugged previously, if you apply it no effect, try apply second time and restart router smile.gif

previously my UniFi upgraded from 100Mbps to 500Mbps also unable to reach 500Mbps, someone in UniFi forum teach me to enable NAT Acceleration

some reference https://routerguide.net/nat-acceleration-on-or-off/

i am not pro in networking, but seems previous router AC68U (just retired two weeks ago), after enable NAT acceleration, can achieve 500Mbps in speed test
