Hi amxpayne67,

We have tested the P1 UH235 on our router, it is just plug and surf just like in PC or laptop.

But due to the subnet mask are the same for both the device, you can just change the ASUS router to different subnet and you are ready to surf.

Thank you

Thanks for your reply. Looks like i'm going to get myself an Asus router after all rclxms.gif .

Sorry to bother you with another question, but does other Asus router that support 3G/4G sharing can use P1 UH235? Not just 1 particular model, for example RT-N18U, RT-N14UHP.... thanks again for your time.

Hi amxpayne67,

Here is the step to do the setup.

1) Change the router IP address to 192.168.2.1
2) Go to USB Application->3G/4G->Enable the USB modem and  click Apply

Then you should be able to online already.

Thank you

Hi amxpayne67,

Is the LAN IP address, LAN->LAN IP->IP Address, change to 192.168.2.1.

If still cannot, try updating the below firmware.

Hi amxpayne67,

Can you share the full screenshot of your ASUS router Network Map page(this time without blocking the details of the IP address) and the USB page again?

Ya, I am using the same USB device too.

Thank you
*
Yes i would share the full screenshot for you around tonight. If you are using the same USB device then perhaps i missed out some steps maybe. Thank you for your reply.

Hi amxpayne67,

May I ask, if you plug in your PC/notebook will it work?

And what is the LED light shown on the USB device?

Thank you
*
Yes, the USB device works fine if plug directly to PC. It will shows red blinking (search signal) then blue (connected).
For PC its connected through P1 connection manager that comes with the device itself.

Hi amxpayne67,

Yes, received your mail. And I would like to ask, do you need to install the software in-order for it to work on PC?

Under the Preference, do you need to put any dial up connection?

Because the one I have no need to install anything and it just plug and surf.

Thank you
*
Yes, i do need to install the software in order to work for PC.

*Edit: I have contacted P1 CS and it seems they have released new modem without host. That might be the problem with my modem. Let me sort it out with P1 first. Thank you for your assistance.

*UPDATE 9/10/15: I've exchange my previous UH235 modem at P1 Paddock Jalan Templer and get the lastest version of it. It turns out that the old model cannot be used with the router. Many thanks to ASUSmy for his assistance notworthy.gif . Note to all P1 UH235 users, if you want to use the 3G/4G dual wan function for Asus router, please exchange your modem for the latest model. icon_rolleyes.gif
