Hang on first. I just got a unit to test. To be honest Mikrotik not that great with wifi. hAP AC2 had a lot of complaints for slow wifi initially but latest firmware supposed to have fixed the problems. Routing wise, the hAP AC2 is great. It's slightly faster than the RB750Gr3.

i'm using asus rt ac55uhp. unifi 500Mbps turbo. I cannot get pass 300Mbp (usually 250Mbps to 270Mbps) using the only LAN and the correct gigabyte cable. upload is okay 100Mbps +++. The problem is the download speed eventhough it is stated that the LAN is gigabt capable?

Throtle (QOS) and bandwith limiter is OFF.

Is there anything i can try?

or there will be a firmware upgrade or is this a hardware error

i'm in the same boat with u..unifi 500 mbps and using ac55uhp..i get over 300 (300-340) when i change bandwidth limit to 0...but never reach 350 above...dont know whether the router is the problem..i have even resented my router. Tempted to buy ac86u...but worry if i still get the same result

I recently got UniFi Turbo Upgraded to 500Mbps.

I am using the Asus RT-AC66U and CAT6 cable to connect to the Internet. But if I use the Asus RT-AC66U my internet download speed cannot reach 500Mbps, the highest I can get is around 150Mbps, and the upload speed is around 80Mbps.

The Telekom Malaysia has provided me with the Dlink AC1200 Wi-Fi Router DIR-842 if using this router I can easily reach a download speed of 500++Mbps and upload speed of around 80Mbps.

I still prefer to use the ASUS router to connect to the Internet, may I know what went wrong with my ASUS RT-AC66U router?

This evening lightning strike the unifi pole behind my house. My unifi BTU display light went dead. I suspect it must have burnt the unit. Have reported to unifi technical.

Later I found out that my AC66U B1 which I bought less than 3 years ago also went dead with no led display lights. Can anyone confirm is warranty covered for lightning strike?

any Broadcom based routers has excellent NAT acceleration (CTF) that can handle gbps speed even on shittiest cpu by bypassing it altogether, as long you don't enable QoS. (Qos will requires traffic to pass through cpu, which conflicts with CTF) . Most of Asus routers are broadcom-based (All AX models and AC1750-class above)
