You miss some step... Your whatsapp ipa backup don't have the iPhone password n id yet.
That why when you open the whatsapp in ipad. It show the message... |

Better delete the apps first then install fresh with your phone number. |

Have to fresh install? yes! you have to uninstall and reinstall the whatsapp and do a new verification before you copy the whatsapp into your ipad mini or else it won't work.and do take note that you cannot run both together with the same number in different idevice. Your install the wrong ipa.
Make sure you install the backup whatsapp from iPhone to ipad. Not the original whatsapp from iTunes. Follow the step. |
