To root will have no issue. If you use it to block the exploit will have broken camera.

My advice, just flash a custom kernel.

no u cant save it from facebook app
but you can save it when u r using android web browser

or if u still really wanna save it with facebook app:
1) view photo in full size , then print screen
2) share it to your dropbox, then export it to your phone

Yes it mucks up the camera for some firmware versions. Cannot be helped. F samsung for this haha.
