QUOTE(Zelda85 @ Dec 31 2012, 04:48 PM) i got superb speed when browsing / download when it is H+ and sloe when it was G. As they say is 3.5 Generation and 2nd generation with diffierend upload /download speed. Oh please. With such a great phone like Note II, it doesn't deserve G at all. Anyway i will stay with Auto GSM & WCDMA. Or u guys choose GSM only since u don wan battery drainage high ? And I see KuLi is back again. This post has been edited by fruitie: Dec 31 2012, 04:52 PM |

My colleague (soon ex-colleague today is her last day sobs) got a Note 2 too.
Er, she just showed me her phone... She plugged out S-Pen but nothing pops up like the S Note or any creativity page. Her sister has helped her to install don't know what launcher, does that affect? |

QUOTE(tehoice @ Dec 31 2012, 06:15 PM) launcher shouldnt affect that, I think she should go to setting to enable the auto-popup when one pulls out the s pen. the small note pad should appear. QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Dec 31 2012, 06:16 PM) QUOTE(neo0915 @ Dec 31 2012, 06:23 PM) QUOTE(waveweaver @ Dec 31 2012, 06:28 PM) Nope, checked already. It is enabled, the page buddy ma. QUOTE(Silenced @ Dec 31 2012, 06:38 PM) Yea any launcher other than TW would not have page buddy and also the recommended apps in the notification bar. Cool, so my prediction is correct. I told her either you retain the fancy launcher or you can't launch your creativity page automatically. QUOTE(crazyissac @ Dec 31 2012, 06:59 PM) Nope, it is enabled. It's her launcher problem. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 31 2012, 08:31 PM) Tested Redpill v1.0 on Monx rom 0301 since yesterday. All his settings taken at default and did not bother to tweak anything. Happy to report battery drain is better by about 1-2 %. Example last night , over 7 hours with 3G actively on , wifi off, gps off and with FB notifications, email , tweeter refresh in background battery drop was only 2 % ( i think is less than 2 % as battery level stays on even after an hour without use ) vs 3-4% on Perseus 29.1 kernel On the other hand, my battery tends to drop quite a lot these 3 three days.Nothing has been changed. |

If I want to flash XXDLL4 v03-rev01, I need to flash for XXDLL4 ROM first? I cannot use it with my XXDLK7 right?
Er, I think my battery issue is happening again. More than 10% gone in less than an hour. If I want to flash back to stock ROM from monx, what will be the suggested way? Thanks guys. |

QUOTE(xcxa23 @ Jan 1 2013, 02:19 PM) how bout try this rom?? Er, I didn't see your recommendation, which ROM are you referring to?been using it for 3 days and manage to get around 30 to 40% from 7am (100%) until 6pm usage: brightness = auto network WCDMA only data always on browse using dolphin browser approximately 15 min every hour or so until 6pm from 7am till 6pm, watch movie for about 2h to 3h in total gaming for alittle, about 1h to 2h in total so the total screen on is about 5h to 6h using redphill v1.0 with medium UV *highly recommend to install bravia engine if u were to watch movie from gn2. Also how to tweak RedPill v1.0 to medium UV? Sorry I'm still a newbie. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jan 1 2013, 02:26 PM |

QUOTE(xcxa23 @ Jan 1 2013, 02:36 PM) oppsss.. forget to include the link Thanks a lot. [ROM][XXDLL5][29Dec] PhoeniX Rom V2.0 [Fast | Clean| Android 4.1.2 | Amazing] when u flashed the redphil, it will also install stweak just go to the cpu_uv tab and -25 for each frequency from wat i believe, nvr UV too much as it will stress the cpu But I'll need to install XXDLL5 first right? I'm on XXDLK7 now... Wait saw the screenshot, he is on XXDLK7 and using this ROM. OK, will give this a shot. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jan 1 2013, 02:39 PM |

QUOTE(vincent_hong @ Jan 1 2013, 06:41 PM) Hey guys,i found a person selling his note 2.. Is there anything I need to look out for? How to know whether is it note 1 or 2? And how to check for problem with the phone? Ur advise would be very helpful.. I don't want to get con.. Note 1 and Note 2 doesn't look the same.Note is shorter and wider. Note 2 is longer and slimmer. Or go to Settings > About device (scroll at the bottom). Note 2 is N7100 or N7105 (for not local MY unit) As for other things, not sure how to advise. QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jan 1 2013, 09:58 PM) For Audio Out..nothing can be done. How to force close media scanner? For Media Scanner..once it finished scanning it will stop. If you reboot or power off the phone..once you power on then it will start re-scanning again. Sometimes a broken thumbnails or corrupt files can make your Media Scanner keep on scanning non-stop. Only way is force closed it and start removing that broken thumbnails or corrupt files. Also NetworkLocationLocator? I Googled and have disabled everything, hopefully it helps now. |

This is not impressive I supposed?
![]() Added: I noticed that my battery level hardly drops (or doesn't drop that much) when my screen is turned off. Once I start doing something on my phone, I can see that it keeps dropping. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jan 1 2013, 11:23 PM |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jan 1 2013, 11:29 PM) bwahaha..quit worrying too much bout battery sis. I stop looking on all these details stats long ago. The more i tried tweaking here and there..it only made thing worse. Somemore i'm not good at tweaking. Better leave things as it is unless you know what you're doing. But I didn't have this issue ma, that's why it bothers me so much... As we are speaking here, it is now 93% when I just read one WhatsApp message... |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jan 1 2013, 11:43 PM) So you were saying 15 hours is considered impressive? Anyway, read with great interest for ARHD ROM. Any comment? But I saw the developer is about to roll out v7.0, so I will just wait till it rolls out v7.0 and trying out this Phoenix for now. Man, Android is slowly sucking me into black hole. Everyday thinking of custom ROM. |

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Jan 1 2013, 11:48 PM) audioout_2 , audioout_3 , are mostly caused by a few things . 1 is not properly close music player . another could be lock screen sound , keypad sound etc ....... Just google it , there are alot of examples given but no actual answer . As for mediascan , just install and disable media scan . Quite troublesome but even more troublesome to search 1 by 1 . Sometimes , like my case , its the pic file from whatsapp which is corrupted . Is it normal that the rescan media thingy, once I open it and nothing for me to proceed? Then it is considered done? I don't know how to explain but I hope you get what I was trying to say. QUOTE(kasey1314 @ Jan 1 2013, 11:50 PM) OK, here is the link from XDA forum.I used this previously: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953705 But now when I'm on Custom ROM most of the developers have already embedded similar features into their ROM.
