QUOTE(earl-ku @ Sep 19 2013, 12:46 AM) let me know how u doing it, i wanna change mine too ... white or blue few problems :- i) need to find the new cluster, maybe can try contact spare part seller. so far i manage to find for S spec only, not sure for E. ii) removing the old cluster, need the guide for this. if able to find workshop outside which willing to do for us, we can save the DIY hassle iii) so far i heard replacing the cluster from old to the new 1 is just plug and play, then proceed to test, if no problem then is good to go. however i not sure whether it will temper with our odometer. if will temper i guess this modification is off

QUOTE(earl-ku @ Sep 19 2013, 03:35 AM) Ohh i thought u gonna change just the lamps to change the color ... its pretty much the same instruments.... just different backlight? how much is the spare part shop selling the meters? still checking the price you can't change the lights only because they're soldered. design wise there's slight difference old new

QUOTE(kiatzz @ Sep 19 2013, 05:10 PM) Finally there are someone who wanted to know whether the light thingy can be changed.. Do keep us posted! Thanks! a bit of bad news. i just contacted a spare parts seller from garage sales. he say that part is not a serviceable part so honda didn't include it in the spare part catalogue. so... meaning we cant buy that part from spare part dealer edi however im still able to find the cluster from china seller, price how much i duno. will update u guys once i got it and also still need to figure out how to open up that section. i expect it not gonna be easy job since honda didn't even include it as serviceable part. QUOTE(xin @ Sep 19 2013, 05:40 PM) bad news, we cant just change the led as the outer clear plastic for the meter cluster is coloured. For pre FL its coloured as transparent orange while the FL is transparent blue. Either change the whole cluster and yes its plug and play with no modifications or wirings needed but the odo will depends on the meter you change. As the mileage memory is all stored in the meter itself. ya i know, so our only chance is change the whole thing. but since u say the mileage is stored on the panel itself... i guess this mod is off edi. i will do any mod to my car except those which tempers with the safety and also mileage

QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Sep 19 2013, 06:14 PM) Actually what's wrong if after we change the mileage is no longer same with the previous want? Can the new cluster meter set/edit to the same want? mileage is very important to determine your car service, and incase you want to sell your car. for new car its more important because your warranty depends on it as well

QUOTE(xin @ Sep 22 2013, 02:22 PM) Here you go front position/driving light = T10 boot lamp = T10 main brake light = T20 3rd brake light = T20 rear driving red light = T10 reverse light = T20 front/side/rear signal light = T10 T20 for front & rear, T10 for side signal (NHC-S). Strongly not recommend to replace with LED type on front/rear side because: (1) Not bright enough (2) LED will cause lower resistance error and will make the 'tik tak' sound abnormal fast when signal to left/right i replaced my front position light, rear main light, boot light into LED next coming up is main brake light. QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Oct 29 2013, 07:53 PM) The performance increase a lot?? pick up obviously is better compared to 0w-20 and reaching higher speeds is smoother and easier now, unlike previously like the engine is holding up

QUOTE(e_mc_square @ Nov 12 2013, 10:40 AM) Does any one found that there a "Witttt~~" Sound when you unlock the car? The sound is not "beep beep" is like "Witttt~" high pitch. I know that is some sort of car unlock sound. Buy why??? I bought my City during Raya. From the 1st week I already notice that sound when I unlock the car. I thought I heard it wrongly. 2nd time I heard it clearly the sound is come out from my car and so coincidently the car owner that parked in front of me open his car door. I thought I might been just heard it wrongly as well. 3rd time in my house I confirm 101% the sound "Wittttt~" is come out from my car when unlock. And yesterday I heard it again when I unlock the car. It sound "Wittt~" will come out when unlock only. I didn't install any 3rd party lock system. All is original. The sound didn't come out every time I unlock the car. Is kind of spooky~ Haha... I will ask Honda about this when 10,000 service. Just to check out does any one have same experience like me. erm try standing near the fuel cap when u unlock. that could be the fuel cap lock unlocking because our fuel cap is not like those who use lever at the driver's side, it's unlocked based on the central locking

QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Nov 17 2013, 03:10 PM) Hey, since you brought your own engine oil to service I have a question that is it won't void our car warranty if we not using Honda engine oil? Finally 20k service on Friday booked appointment on 11am reach on time but due to too many people only done at 4pm wasted all my time just sitting there and wait got nothing to do Changed from 0W-20 to 5W-40 and after 2 days of inspection, the car response get quicker and FC only slightly increase. The response to me is wow but not OMG lol, VTEC kick in more easily compare to last time when I was using 0W-20. Conclusion car response get more instant VTEC kick in easily and FC only get slightly increase. Between for reference my 20k service include balancing alignment & rotation, 0W-20 engine oil, oil filter, gear oil, air filter and air con filter total RM600++. I removed the aircon filter which already cost RM180 itself, left RM400++ but change from 0W-20 to 5W-40 which the final price is RM500++. Now pocket bleeding already sry can't answer you that. my car warranty already ended, so i service at outside workshop now This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Nov 17 2013, 08:04 PM
