Can anyone recommend accessories shop to do sound proofing for 4 door panels?
*
There's a few over here in LYN. Sh@rty 5, howiechoo or KLAuto. Give them a call and find out which one offer the best package. I only did my Autofoam comfort package at KLAuto but never done any sound proofing yet.

Anyone here change the honda city stock horn to honda accord horn?
*
Accord horn sound better is it? Never thought about replacing it. Why not just go with Hella or PIAA horn?

QUOTE(cskean @ Jun 9 2013, 03:19 AM)
Guys, can someone recommend some experienced workshop that I can send my H.City for servicing beside Honda Authorize SC?

Prefer at Cheras, Ampang or KL..

TQVM...
*
Sorry I can't help you with this, is your warranty over already?

QUOTE(Lyker Baws @ Jun 9 2013, 05:57 PM)
Need some advice..should I upgrade the gps+ reverse camera (rm 3.5k) and modulo bodykit (ABS) (rm2.5k) by Honda or better if I do it outside instead?
*
Install outside, a lot more cheaper. You can get the full modulo bodykit for only 1 - 1.5k with painting. The GPS/Reverse camera you can install at accessories shop or look around the garage sale. CASKA brand is one choice that fits like the OEM player but personally I'll go with Pioneer or Kenwood but you need to install the casing like this so it fits nicely.

Hi Guys, looking to buy a new city soon for my gf anyone knows any showroom with good promotion and rebates? thanks biggrin.gif
*
Good bf tongue.gif. Not sure if the current promos still got or not, you can try the garage sale. I'm sure there's a Honda salesman/girl over there.

how to clean the double sided tape at our car door completely? I want to remove my door visor cause is kinda loose.
*
I removed mine.. took almost 4 hours. sweat.gif

Try and send to accessories shop and ask them to remove it for you (probably not free).. or if you want to try it yourself, here's a few tips.

1. Slowly try and peel of the door visor and try to get as much tape as you can out as well from the first peel.
2. Once you remove all the visors, use Zippo lighter fluid to wet the remaining tape that still stuck on the door frame.
3. Look for this door wedge (usually in pink color), use it like an eraser to rub off the tape.
4. Do NOT use your fingernail, you'll easily scratch the rubber frame (I did with mine, now can see some marking already)

Good luck. biggrin.gif

i would recommend you find the nearest ACE hardware shop, find something called Label Remover by Ambersil.
Ambersil Label Remover

Works better. I've used this to remove all forms of sticky tape residue including the rear badges.

Did not know about this product before. Thanks for sharing.

last two week i nearly meet an accident.. front car of me spinning out of sudden, manage to zip zap.. thx to the bar..  thumbup.gif

i'll try sumber auto to fix the rattling noise from rear.. very annoying..

anyway, anyone has extra/unuse stock emblem to sell? im looking for front, mine is missing.. sweat.gif
*
Mate, UR bar give much effect to the handling? I already autofoamed my car though. Does it improve stability when doing high speed cruising as well?

hmm...autoform basically give u the heavy feel and reduce the noise from outside...its different...whereas UR bars gives stability by proving extra strength to ur chasis...

Autoform is like stiffring but apparently its better....i got stiffring d...when i was at KL AUTO to get my LCP from Desmond he said remove stiffring and put Auto form...but after hearing the full package price my pants wana drop d...hahaha blink.gif
*
Ah.. damn you all poisoning me. Haha. Which bar will give the most impact on stability? Want to confirm first.

1. Strut bar - this one on front attached to the suspension mount?
2. lower bar 2 point/4 point - not sure about this, bottom of car?
3. rear anti-roll bar - attach where?

I already have autofoam comfort package, helps on the handling a bit. I don't want the car to ends up like a track car if I install all of the 4 bar. sweat.gif

Do you feel any different in terms of pickup or top speed after changing to LCP? It does feel a lot lighter compared to the stock CP.

Do the comfort first la, but you got stiffring, and 4 bars already.. haha. Go do some sound proofing mods next tongue.gif

Hi all,

Can anyone here suggest rplace the tyre for s spec city stock rim is it ok with 195/55/15 or 195/60/15?? Or other? Help plz

P/ recommended brands?
*
Check here http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc....65r15-195-60r15

195/60/15 is better since it is closer to the stock tire size so the your speedometer doesn't out of sync too much. Not sure if it will fit with the stock tyre or not as I'm using the 16" tire.

I heard Michelin is a good brand, quiet and more comfortable from the stock tire. Price should be around RM250/piece I think.

Wait for other members to give feedback as well.

QUOTE(takeshiru @ Jun 25 2013, 11:38 PM)
yea DEsmond from KL auto did poison me like crazy...lucky i got the cheaper option(but that is when i didnt know about autoform) which the stiff ring IF not GONE la!! sure habis all on autoform....bro which package u go for? the Full package? wher u got it done?..price? haha

As for the UR bars...the most useful ones are the Lower front 2point...lower front 4point...and Rear anti Roll bar(attach connecting both rear springs)  other than that not so useful....like the front tower bar...its suppose to attach to the front absorber mounting but UR didnt design it like that hence its not that useful but i also installed coz i dono other brand which can do the job...

As for the LCP case...i got a good brand called mythelogy dampered ...i must admit its good...lighter response...better FC...top speed havent try...pickup definetely better...uphill better...u can consider...but it cost a hole in ur pocket....if u got for other brand which is not dampered then it might give u probs...dats wat i read from forum after forums...u try do ur research and see
*
I only go for comfort bro, gile the full package is over 2k. Haha. Done at KL Auto as well, he poison a lot of stuff but luckily I survived tongue.gif

I see, thanks for the info on UR bar. I will put it in my list of upgrades.

I heard about the Mythology brand before few years ago. Haven't consider it yet since some said it effect the car top end for some reason. A bit expensive too right?

I need to replace my air filter first before my next service. Need to sort out my priorities. Aih too many poison already. Haha.

bro winterWish... this web http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc....65r15-195-60r15

erm...quite confused with it...im a total newbie in tyre profile issue....mind enlighten me?....if profile is 205/55/16 and 205/50/16...got any difference in anything? FC...distance travel..etc? there write sidewalls height and Revolutions per mile... it messes with the speedometer yea but how it affect the car?....

all i know steel braided better...wat tread better...flat/round side walls pros and cons nia...this i totally dono... icon_question.gif
*
Nothing really fancy, just better to keep the difference as low as possible from the stock tire so it doesn't affect the speedometer and probably the FC calculation on the dashboard panel (I think!) too much. tongue.gif not an expert so I can't comment much. Haha.

Oh I didn't replace the stock air filter since I don't want to waste it. Wait until its due for replacement then I'll change the filter to K&N drop in. Spark plugs too biggrin.gif

*
Haha sure, after air filter I'm replacing the tire first. Switching to 15" instead of 16". tongue.gif

Thinking of applying this soundproofing: http://www.groupon.my/deals/klang-valley-s...176&a=715827992

What do you guys think?

To be honest I have no faith in groupon deals. If you want affordable sound proofing just look for Sh@rty 5

wow.. so fast change to 15" for better comfort? haha.. i just change my tyres  to XM2. So not going to change the tires  until the next batch. Perhaps that time think to change to sport rims with wider tyres. lol...
*
Yeah comfort and price. Haha. How's XM2? Using 15" as well?

I'm looking at 205/55/R15 or 195/60/R15 now.. not sure which one to go yet.

Yeah the stock rim is too narrow to fits a 205. You need 205/45 to force it to fit without hitting the fender.

That's why I'm thinking of changing rim already. And downsize while I'm at it. Haha.

ya, might get the rims from Singapore if cant find any suitable in JB after a year. anyway 205/55/R16 would fit without hitting the fender right?

Anyone reduce to 15" instead of 16"? please share the feelings..
*
205/45/R16 you mean? If so, I think should fit, I remember there's someone here using it already with the stock 16" rim. Can't recall who.. should be in this thread somewhere.

470 x 4 piece tongue.gif

If you got budget, stick with R16. It looks really nice with our car.

I'm downgrading for comfort and price only, if got budget I'll stick with R16 too. Haha.

Hahaha! No worries, tmr will post ya.
FC better I think becoz of the rims are lighter than the ORI rims.
As for the height, I did compared 185/55 (ori tyre) with new tyre- 205/45, not much diff. Looks like the same.
*
Can't wait to see biggrin.gif

I'm looking for nice 15" rim lah.. Any ideas? I like the stock one, maybe I'll get something similar to it I guess.

15" bit smaller, 16" just nice and sporty although the tyres are slightly expensive.. lol...

next thing i wanna go for mugen body kit. modulo not suitable to me since my car expose to hot sun for long hours.
*
I wouldn't mind a bit smaller tongue.gif

I think a lot more expensive, a 16" Michelin XM2 can easily cost RM450+ per piece. sweat.gif

Why Mugen more suitable? My car also exposed to hot sun for long hours almost every day sad.gif
