Hi Guys,

I adopted a mongrel a week ago, currently the dog is coming to 6 months old, the previous foster owner had already done full vaccination for the dog.

but issue lies with it face, as there is few bold patch along the face and accordingly to its previous foster owner my dog was suffering cat flea infestation during its younger time, but was treated.

upon keeping him for a week i realize my dog could be suffering from skin irritation, everyday i have been sweeping due to lose of fur coat. his under body has lots of bold patch every where including inner hind legs.

I have a friend who told me it was not a serious issue, she mentioned that i just have to get antibotic and the dog will be recovering.

Can i directly purchase antibiotic from the animal clinic? how much would the medication cost? how long to i need to have my dog been on medication?

Thanks and Regards

Or is there any good vet around Wangsa Maju/Gombak?
I'm staying in Selayang, previously I brought my cat to Healing Pets at Damansara Jaya for vaccine and grooming,
wasn't really happy with the experience.
It's not bad, just not that happy.

My cat is having hair loss at the back of her both ears, seen her scratching really hard,
but the ears are clean, need to bring her for a checking..

I just went to St. Angel Animal Medical Centre at Taman Equine Seri Kembangan. The vet is awesome. His name is Dr. S Sathivale, he was very sincere and patient with me. Explain everything in detail about my pet to me, and very patient dealing with my cat when it throws tantrum around. He charges a very minimal fee for a very detailed job. On top of that, when i turn back to the clinic asking the vet why my cat keeps sticking out its tongue when inside my car, he said just get the cat back into clinic and he gave it a syringe of water  to calm it down. He didn't charge a single cent for this service even though he was very busy at that time dealing with another cat patient also.

Yes! My cat has been treated by him too. He is a very sincere and dedicated vet. When he treats your pet you can see that he's a pet lover. He also played with my cat and manjakan it.. So nice of him even though he didn't need to. Normal vet will just do what they need to do. But Dr. Sathivale is patient and does his job right. Definitely recommend St. Angels Animal Medical Centre at Seri Kembangan. Their "pet passport" is also very cute, for you to keep track of your pets vaccines, etc.

Head on over to Dr Yeoh's Vet Clinic at Taman Megah, as far as I know, they are the only clinic that treats small animals.

try out

UPM Veterinary
43400 Serdang

A couple month ago i brought my cousin German S to this place. They have a big and clean place to treat and house the animals. They do x-rays and blood works.

The clinic we visited before gave grim outcome(death)for the GS because some virus problem. They could not astain the reason for the compromised imune system of the dog, and the health of the dog not improving and cost of dog staying at that clinic is not cheap. We decided look else where and the doctor suggested UPM.

The UPM doctor treated the GS, followed up the clinic doctor to find out the treatment given to the dog. After the check up and reading the report, she found out that when young GS given vacination the interval between the vacination period 3 week, which in her opinion was short, normal practice was 4 week or more this was to anble the dog develop better inmune system. Because of the short period between vacination the dog failed to develop a proper resisten to the virus which resulted in dog condition.

After couple of day staying there(cheap), and followup treatment the GS made full recovery. I would like to thank the
doctor for kind services. thumbup.gif

Guys, do not send your dogs to Palm Spring Vet @ Kota Damansara! My brother sent his 8 months female puppy to Dr Chan for spaying recently to ensure that she will live a longer + healthier 'cancer free' life. According to Dr Chan, the puppy was very healthy and suitable for spaying operation. After the operation he did not stay back to monitor her condition despite her heart beat was abnormal. Just ciao and went home Zzz then the next morning called my brother and informed him the puppy already passed away in the cage. WTF?!

Really unacceptable! He just said sorry for your loss. That's it! The puppy was very close to our family esp my mom. Can't believe gone too soon! Won't return to this damn clinic forever!

Is this place any good ?
There is this stray cat that had grown up in my backyard since he was a kitten (old enough to start walking). I suspect that he might be sick and was wondering if I should bring him to a vet ? I have never had a pet before and don't know what to do.
