Better buy a DIN55R battery and keep it in the boot along with a right sized wrench to remove the battery head screws just in case. You don't want to be caught with your pants down.

Thanks for the tip. Any particular brand to recommend? I'm really a car noob actually. So does my battery need replacing with a new one? I asked some of my frens and relatives, they said these maintenance-free batteries need more frequent replacing than the ones that need to be 'refilled'.

I only know Bosch, Century and Yokohama branded batteries hmm.gif. No recommendations in particular cause I never bought more than one before. I'm currently using the Bosch S3 DIN55R battery. Costed me RM210.

Hi Personarians, I actually uploaded a screenshot to Campro Turbo club. Might as well also post here to get quicker/more explanation.

Hello Budok Guchil Lamo, Raedi Yusof dan ahli2 sekalian. Apologies for using English because some terms are hard to explain in BM.

This is my Persona's OBD2 screenshot. I have confusion about B1S1 and B1S2 temperature. According to online answers, B1S1 is at exhaust manifold, B1S2 is after catalytic converter. Can I use B1S1 as EGT reading? Why is B1S2 temperature higher even though further from engine? My observation is B1S1 temperature increase faster than B1S2 when I accelerate.

Engine still stock (don't dare to BOT until I make sure EGT is okay). I am already using custom made water thermostat to keep coolant lower temperature.

bro...i think from the (not accurate) coolant temp analog meter...i can estimate that d min&max temp is somewhere same as urs...
around 82C n sometimes will drop to around 78C (agak agak result from analog meter)

improvement...i will say cant feel any improvement (not a performance mod also) but it is good that it is proven that the custom thermostat opens at lower temp (as experimented during TT) after taking out the stock thermostat,i go back n put in a just-boiled-hot water...left it in like for 10mins+ pun tak open...normal ka? during TT i knw d water we use to experiment is like not even 90C and the custom thermostat opens within 5 mins... rclxms.gif

by comparing both thermostat with this experiment, theoretically, coolant will flow more fequently keeping the temp lower than wad the stock thermostat can do...

Thanks for the review. I believe the thermostat gives a long mile for performance mod in the future. It will keep the engine head cooler.

The stock thermostat is damn hard to open and can fail to open quite often. Some taxi drivers already burnt their engine by using stock thermostat with long exposure to NGV.

Not in my sights yet since I don't have the know-how to maintain a Turbocharger, neither do I have the money to maintain a Turbocharged car. laugh.gif I'm seeking to get the voltage stabiliser first, then Ceratec or the thermostat.

I already Ceratec early early. Haha

160 for the damn bottle. And I treated my engine when it's brand new, I cannot feel any difference, even now. Says can last 50K but when I peek into the rocker cover, no sign of the orange brown ceramic.

Mine will probably have a significant difference since it wasn't really well maintained by the first owner judging from how bad the engine vibrates.
