QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Dec 27 2012, 04:55 PM) I don't think most of the reply has a sub as heavy as yours. Also they don't drive as crazy as you too... Try velcro way, I doubt it will meet your requirement. The EA fler way would be best lar. Or you want my way? Dampen the sub box until 30kg... then he will come back to you and say his car lost noticeable amount of pickup and heavy This post has been edited by MorningBoyz: Dec 27 2012, 05:01 PM

The thing that worked for me, is not the stick-on velcro, but the heavy duty thick velcro you get from curtain shops. Get that velcro and get a heavy duty stapler gun, stapler a few strips of the velcro on the woofer and you'll be cursing you did it when you're trying to remove the woofer manually after that this method survived Genting touge with my driving style on my previous Kicker 12" sub which weighs a LOT. And i only installed 2 strips on each side

There was once the velcro actually peeled off from the woofer itself, with the velcro still sticking to the car mat(not enough staplers. damn) and the woofer went rolling around in my boot when i took corners in Genting and when the woofer hit the walls of the boot, the car actually shook

it's better, but velcro and stapler gun is a cheaper and simpler method to do than bolting the woofer down, plus it's easier to remove if you need to if you use the velcro. Those curtain velcro's are seriously strong.

what i did that i could hang my sub box if i wanted to... only applies if you have a rear struts bar or the likes though... make a bracket to fasten the sub box to the struts bar... everything settles. I had my 4 amps rack, processors, and sub box fasten to it... it's a stealth install as well if you know how to hide the screws... i did it by hiding the amp screws at the back of the cover holders... wan to open the amp, you have to unscrew 8 screws just to get to the amp's screws... pry open the cover holder is not a easy option as well if you know how to choose materials... But if they steal your whole car then nothing to say la... This post has been edited by craziechild: Jan 5 2013, 11:54 AM

Don't use velcro. I have tried it and is useless if you drive like an idiot, and especially if you play dance music with loud bass boom bang. The woofer will dance non stop and hit the amps.
Kena once before and afterthat I chose to install brackets. Regret didn't accept their suggestion at first place. Luckily it was just a slight damaged.

I dont like velcro because when i want move my sub, it sticks to the bottom carpet and the carpet follow the sub. Then need to rearrange the carpet again. Now i just use a simple cable to tie the box around if i go for some spirited driving.
