fruitie, how often do you use amex in paypal?

i think if you only perform one transaction in a long time, then amex doesnt block paypal, or just something odd with their system.
for my case, i used to call cs to authorize in the beginning, then once i got lazy and tried using amex in paypal anyway.
to my surprise, it got through, but only for the first transaction, then it got blocked.
i tried again 2-3weeks later and it works again, but only worked for one transaction.
*
Used to be very often like at least once in every month. I think since last year's August, I had not been using my PayPal already. So, probably this is a new enhancement. hmm.gif

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jan 18 2013, 10:59 AM)
The agoda promo for maybank has ended but it is extended for citibank cards.

I tried to book a hotel using citibank from the citibank/agoda link and proceed as per steps (in Gen-x blog). I reached the page to key in card details and the next step is to click payment, however up to this step, the 7% discount is not stated at all.

So I would like to ask from those here who booked from agoda maybank before, is the 5% (for maybank) clearly stated something like 'promo 5% discount and amount' or have to do own calculation?

I didnt proceed to click the payment button as I am worried it might go through without the discount.

TQ

My experience 2 times booking through Agoda last year during the promotion, it will show a discounted price after I keyed in my Maybank VISA card information.

You do aware that cash back will only be shown on M2U after 1st of the next month?
So whatever you spent in January only will be shown on 1st Feb or 2nd Feb. smile.gif

Your second question, yes, it will off-set in your next month's spending. smile.gif

Curious why they don't allow to pay extra.

I tried with CIMB and UOB before, both allowed.
*
You can pay more if you use CDM if I'm not mistaken but if use M2U, this is not allowed.

Can I just cancel the Visa/MC (just leave Amex) since it is the one being charged for GST?
*
laugh.gif Seriously?
How we wish though, GST is charged by the government not Maybank.
It is a 2-card thingy, so it comes in a pair.

*
The chances of being rejected by OCBC Ti are much much higher compared to M2Card. smile.gif

Someone just called me and asked whether i want the maybank 2 gold cards or not.

They will deliver it to me when is approved, din't even ask for any documents
*
Normal. If your salary is credited to Maybank, the chances for them to call you is even higher. At least for my case, they called and offered me when it was just introduced in 2011. biggrin.gif

Accept the offer and enjoy your ride with this wonderful card!

I was given MC last month.... though you can request for a VISA instead (during application)...
*
I requested for VISA too when I got mine in early 2011.
Then kinda regretted as MC seems to have more promotion in Malaysia but that time I had CIMB Direct Access MC. tongue.gif
Now I have OCBC Ti. biggrin.gif

I feel more comfortable to have AmEx, VISA and MC at the same time. laugh.gif

I supposed so, unless it is a PayPal, Agoda or flight tickets booking which may not be considered as weekends transactions.

I'm not bro. smile.gif
Definitely 5x, it is not government, insurance and education related transactions.
I noticed that AirAsia charges much higher fees compared to last time if using credit card.
