One thing I REALLY hate about the Linear Ex case is the super small cutout for the headphone jack and Lightning port. Limits what adapters and headphones I can use. Today I went out and plugged in my aux cable in my car as usual. Guess what? Couldn't fit. It is a Griffin cassette adapter with a right angle jack. I went to RadioShack to try and find an adapter but no luck there either. So I decided to DIY.



Tried the experiment first on the extension that came with the adapter. Success! It works! It adds extra length even after tying up but at least it works

After that I decided to try all the earphones and headphones I had around the house.



Grado SR80i couldn't fit. The black housing is too fat for it to fully connect. Sound only comes out from one side otherwise.



Skullcandy taktaumodel lying around, victim of my first attempt of DIY. Rubber too hard to chop off Works perfectly, maybe because its quite skinny.



Sony dunnowhatmodel also lying around. Works fine.





Beyerdynamic XP1 just barely works. Looks too big but there is a reason it works.



The rubber housing is soft enough to be squashed into the hole so it fits snugly. A bit hard to squash it in but after that no problems.



Only way to use the Grado headphones with the phone without DIY

What dino89 said, its plastic with metallic paint. No rubber or silicone or anything on the inside but so far no scratches. I kept taking it out to test earphones and take pics today

It only perfectly fits the Apple cables. Not even adapters can fit. The Lightning end must be the exact same size and shape as the Apple cables. Sometimes those cheap ones are more squarish, then they can't fit. I think docks might not fit.

This happened when I installed my Ultra Crystal using the hinge method too. Somehow when I peeled the back off and pushed it down, it went out of alignment.

I like it a lot feel like trying Neo Hybrid EX but for now Linear Ex Slim is good. A lot of people commented on it and says its eye catching

So... managed to drop my iPhone 5 from about 4ft today and dented the Linear Ex case. At least it did its job, the iPhone is fine. The case is mostly fine.

Nope. Terlanggar my car on my gate trying to squeeze it into the house at a funny angle. Other side of the gate wasn't fully opened either so that didn't help. I did some light polishing and got my right hand dirty so I reached into my right front pocket with my left hand. Stupid idea because I was standing up. Once in my hand, I was trying to turn on the flashlight app when it just slipped and fell onto the tiled floor. Little dent was the result. I got the scratches out by buffing with a microfiber but otherwise, stuck with the dent

I trust the case to protect my phone now 4ft drop for naked iPhone on the aluminium band would have been disaster

Exactly the size of the Apple cable. If the 3rd party is fat by a few millimeters, you can't use it already.

Well there isn't much tolerance la. Actually makes for a headache when looking for a 3rd party cable.

Not worn off but bubble in ALL FOUR CORNERS I sent email to Spigen complaining, until now no reply. Wasted my Ultra Crystal Dual!

Don't think the previous buyer will actually pay me so I put it up for sale again.
