Previously I bought an orange bumper from www.theiphonebumpers.com and it was 9.99 usd + 6.50 usd shipping. It arrived with a defect. Non-responsive volume buttons as well.

Attached Image

I emailed them about it and they checked and confirmed that their whole stock of orange had that problem. They asked if I wanted to wait for another orange or receive 2 bumpers of another colour of my choice. Of course I chose the latter (realized orange didn't really look that great either). Shortly after DHL brought them more orange and they confirmed it had none of the problems of the previous batch. So they sent me a new orange and a new black one free of charge.

I received them today. Black one is perfect, orange one has a mushy power button (still works) but the volume buttons have a nice clicking response.

Much bigger cutout for the Lightning connector than my Linear Ex bumper. I'm sure it can work with 3rd party Lightning cables if they aren't a different shape or really fat.

But I thought oem is also fake what , so nothing wrong when he said oem it just u insist on him to say fake.
*
Lots of meanings for OEM la but in PC hardware world its like Foxconn made a motherboard for Asus and Asus takes and sells as their own product. Foxconn is the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). Also can say the Duracell batteries in my Logitech laser mouse that came with it are the OEM batteries.

I think best we say imitation or fake. For Lightning cable I like to say 3rd party, hehe.

how is the quality of the bumper? been looking for bumper as close as the ip4. like the feeling actually lol
*
I'm not sure how the Apple bumpers feel like. Black one feels good, nice and rigid but soft edges. Orange one has a mushy power button but I think quite paiseh to complain about it again. I will be selling these soon, no point keeping after I got the Linear Ex case.

Send them an email to complain. They did take their own sweet time to get back to me though. More than a week, almost 2 weeks. Maybe try their facebook page as well.

EDIT: misinterpretation.

Make a complain.

Anyway,
I like linear metal crystal! Anyone using could make a short review? I am worried that the phone would turn bulky or feel bulky with the frame.
*
I have the linear ex slim metal, feels bulkier but after a while I got used to it. At least don't need to worry if you drop your phone.

Came back from Kuching today and saw the 3rd party Lightning cable I ordered from yeohkc smile.gif Fits my Spigen SGP Linear Ex bumper. A bit tight but it charges and syncs just fine.

Really worth as SPs are included too.

My friend needs the SPs but I will probably sell them. I've gotten really used to the naked feel of the glass and aluminium. Besides that, when I used the back SP they gave with my current Linear Ex bumper, it bubbled!

4) Fake EC Sector 5 FE. Face it, a fake is a fake so sellers should stop calling it OEM. But fake quality also not bad lor.

For these 2 SGP - Neo Hybrid EX and Linear Ex - slim metal bumpers,

1. Which one is better in terms of fitting? (don't like the loose feeling)
2. Which one is slimmer?

Apologies as I think this had been asked numerous times before, but humor me again willya tongue.gif

I have both. Linear Ex Slim Metal (Metal Red) and Neo Hybrid Ex Slim Metal (Gun Metal).

Linear Ex:

Pros:

Color combo nice
Saved my phone from 4 foot drop with only small dent
Easy to install and remove

Cons:

Scratches easily, have 2 deep ones already and it is less than 2 months old
Creaks when you hold the phone tightly
Peeled the rear screen protector (Spigen Ultra Crystal Dual)
Cutout for the headphone jack and Lightning connector are very precise. Will fit only some headphones/earphones and Lightning cables that are similar in size to the Apple one

Neo Hybrid Ex:

Pros:

Fits nice, feels much better than the Linear Ex
More colours than the Linear Ex (metal, vivid, snow, etc.)
More grippy than the Linear Ex and supposed to provide better protection due to the silicone and plastic combo.

Cons:

More difficult to install and remove
Dust getting caught at the silicone edges
Silent switch harder to reach than Linear Ex
Cutout for the headphone jack and Lightning connector are very precise. Will fit only some headphones/earphones and Lightning cables that are similar in size to the Apple one

Didn't try the screen protectors with the Neo Hybrid Ex.

Thanks the comprehensive review. Sounds like you like the Neo more.
Looking from the online pix and videos, they practically looks identical so I guess have to really feel it to see the difference
*
Yup, love it because no more creaking when I hold it and it feels more solid than the Linear Ex smile.gif. Since it's supposed to give more protection, I also feel my phone is safer in it la.
