For a stock earphone. Definitely above average.
But in terms of an audiophile usage, a normal Logitech would surpass Earpods no sweat

Surprisingly I tried on my friend's Earpod, sounds so so to me... in fact I think the previous version is better.

I have not tried my own Earpod though

Honestly a casual listener may like it but for me, I really think it needs more improvement.
I think it has serious sound leakage, partly is due to the design.

It will fall off easily and you will need to continuously press it into your ear.
Not a very good earphone imo.

Yup light bass for those who listen/have crap music/video source.

Its bassy. More than even my dre urebeats.

Been using it a lot n quite happy with it. Perfect for my ALACS n especially awesome for movies.
My only qualm with it i wish the plastic was softer.

Def above average.

I listen using iPod classic.
All these are based on personal reference..
But basically, i dont think an open iem can be bassier than a closed iem Monster beat.
Try asking audiophiles nod.gif

Hence y i am saying ure personal preference is skewed because of the inferior music source ure using.

Btw Dude i aint askin.
Tellin ya. Stating it. Its bassier than my urebeats
Audiophiles... most of them are using inferior music/video source but judging nonsense.
The sound on the earpods are good.

The number of ppl i know who even tag and have a good remuxed/encoded ALAC collection and properly encoded m4v videos from BD's... are so few. Yet theres so many so called audiophiles on idevices...

Its very good earphone.

But not as good as some pricey sens

But I am listening it via a dock. Means no classic's amp interfered.
Its pure.
Bassier than urbeats?
Not sure about this but its funny that a classic can make urbeat bassier but cant do the same thing on earpod.

rclxub.gif Tbh I don't understand why people quarrel to justify on something which is very subjective. The sound quality you listened may be slightly different when comparing with others.. doh.gif Some people think its bassless some love the bass.. Just like one love coffee and the other love tea and they end up quarreling about the choice.. Silly.

Think that fella needs some reading to do.

As i said before the earpods are bassier than my urebeats. Didnt ever say it was better overall.

But for a free earphone is pretty good.

Also ppl should take note of how ppl review earphones etc. MP3 Lame vs ALAC ( getting more popular recently) vs the 256kbps itunes music.

Most reviews are based on the last. And the encode was not as pure as u might think. I have a lot of itunes music. Most of them were encoded with what apple thought the eq should sound like.

The best is to judge with ALACs with no eq setting on the idevices.

Stop believing everything u read especially reviews are true. Payola is rampant people. Heck even i got duped by urebeats

The earpods are probably not meant to give a snug-fit, but the design is more to keep it in your ear - like I find it can stay in place much better compared to normal design when I'm jogging. nod.gif
