Audiophiles... most of them are using inferior music/video source but judging nonsense.
The sound on the earpods are good.
The number of ppl i know who even tag and have a good remuxed/encoded ALAC collection and properly encoded m4v videos from BD's... are so few. Yet theres so many so called audiophiles on idevices...
Its very good earphone.
But not as good as some pricey sens

Tbh I don't understand why people quarrel to justify on something which is very subjective. The sound quality you listened may be slightly different when comparing with others.. 
Some people think its bassless some love the bass.. Just like one love coffee and the other love tea and they end up quarreling about the choice.. Silly.
