Sturridge's signing will be confirmed this week, but it will be too soon for the £12m purchase to make his debut against Sunderland tomorrow. Negotiations for Blackpool midfielder Thomas Ince have temporarily stalled after Liverpool's valuation of around £4m – for a player who left Anfield last season for £500,000 – was considered too low. There is no prospect of Liverpool bidding any higher since Ince will be out of contract in the summer . Rodgers is also looking at 21- year-old French defender Nicolas Isimat-Mirin from Valenciennes and has rejected a potential swap deal involving Joe Cole and Lille's Salomon Kalou.
for quick results, bent may be better due to his experience. but for long term? bent is 29 this yr...hes probably got at most a couple yrs left in him. whereas sturridge is still young and hasnt hit his peak yet...but is still scoring goals...one can only wonder what he can do once he reaches his peak in a couple more yrs. then again, i dont think bent can play in any other system than 4-4-2?

We’ll know that you’ve failed when Luis Suarez demands to leave.
so Sturridge wont be playing today? thats a shame. but i do hope that our *crucial* players stay during this transformation period unlike the time when Torres and Mereilles both requested for a transfer

theSun havnig one page praising Suarez and the next page talking abt Alex as typical grumpy Scot.

The Sun does not favor any teams lah. They will attack anyone or create sensational headlines out of an ordinary story to sell such as "Main Headline: Suarez El Pistolero the Diver? No more! Sub Headline: Hot Uruguayan routed QPR's defense as Harry's men stumbled in Loftus Road"
Now that is the SUN. Drama, drama, drama.
Of course they attack Liverpool more than other teams in the past.
