QUOTE(Samurai X @ Jan 7 2013, 10:31 PM) Noted. Few foreman said use distilled water is better that why I asked. I usually just run the tap water through until water become clear during radiator service, then add coolant and refill as usual As further clarification, Bro, tap water (esp if not well-treated, might b of the "hard" water type) might contain compounds that wld b deposited in engine waterways in due course and cause clogging... Suitable high Q coolant added to distilled/RO water (in correct recommended concentration) wld b the BEST bet! Best wishes....

ps. Coolant has a fixed lifespan and shld b replaced accordingly. If not, it wld become corrosive.... Main reason why most mechs/radiator repair ppl rec using juz tap water, knowing most Msian motorists do not replace the coolant according to schedule. Thus doing more harm by adding coolant (which is meant to do good!) A safer alternative is to use the coolant used in lathes....white coolant used in those metal-cutting machines. More expensive tho... As in everything else, yr choice...yr decision...alwaz... This post has been edited by zeone: Jan 7 2013, 10:52 PM

QUOTE(ckdenion @ Jan 7 2013, 10:39 PM) i thought SC also do it the same way like u do?correct me if im wrong... Hi Bro... In commercial enterprises, that's wat is called the "best compromise"... If one DIY own coolant replacement & has access 2best materials/resource, then wat me hv posted earlier wld b the best! Sincere apologies...if stepped on any toes...not my intention... UPDATE: IINM most car makers now use wat is termed as LLC or Long Life Coolant. These last longer than previously std coolants. IINM Toyota & P2 hv their own such LLCs. Proton recs Weston LLC in User Manual. This post has been edited by zeone: Jan 7 2013, 11:03 PM

QUOTE(zaffti84 @ Jan 8 2013, 11:22 AM) good day alls. I just want to ask something. My wife flx cvt 1.3 nearly 15k KM already. is it recommend to service outside or just stick with authorize SC. because from what i observed, SC in my wife place (Raub) using Mach5 oil but SC in our hometown (Kuantan) using Synthium. Hi Bro... IMHO if yu wanna keep validity of car warranty, yu need 2continue @SC. Otherwise, it's yr personal choice...long story cut short... Best wishes... QUOTE(ibnuasad @ Jan 9 2013, 12:23 AM) Based on my (noob) observation, air intake should be through the grille. The air passing through the front grille should be more than enough, so the rubber I put to minimize the dusts & rain water from going in at high speeds. Btw, if stock considered as CAI, if got rubber blocking considered as CAI or HAI? Tks a meg 4yr explanation, Bro! And yup, me agree...only plausible reason... Now 2think abt getting those Big "D" & Small "D" seals... ps. Re CAI or HAI? Mayb WAI? Cold + Hot = Warm! Haha!

QUOTE(Samurai X @ Jan 9 2013, 10:40 PM) Campro Owners#1. Does you guys' Campro vibrate a lot? I tested friend's 2009 blm and another new saga FLX and steering vibrate a lot when park in D. Not sure if this is a nature of Campro engine but even my Campro CPS engine got the same vibration when gear park in D' #2. Any solution for airbag equipped steering as I don't plan to swap with momo? Thank you. Hi Bro.... Re #1, no probs of vibration @steering wheel in my 2011 Gaga FL.... NB. Stiff Rings are installed in the FL... Re #2, airbag equipped steering wheel is good... So if yu don't plan on swapping, there shld be no prob, right? Unless yu meant something else...?
