My wife complaining that the front windscreen and in fact almost all screen will be "foggy" and "frosty" everytime raining. Even if it not raining at night, it will still happen. Unlike my conti cars, we normally complaint the reverse 😜

How to overcome this? What is the best fan speed and temperature to maintain as to avoid the situation especially when she's driving alone?
*
Ur air circulation on or off . Mine never got the foggy glass on front n rear . My previous car got but PC never have it even raining and after park overnight .

*
No need to warm try search at priuschat it got three stages before complete warm up and furthermore PC engine use Atkinson circle which warm up faster than conventional engine

Hi, appreciate if anyone can share his infor.
1) If our hybrid batt is fully discharged, no way we can start our PC. Right or wrong? (Note: Case of Hybrid batt still functioning/OK, but only fully discharged due to car is not being used or start in a very long time)
2) Can our PC be able to START back if it is not being used in ONE month time? (PC 12V batt charge can last/hold for how many days before it is fully discharged? Same like normal car which we must start at least once in a week?)
4) What can we do to our PC when we r oversea for mths? Pls dun ask me to sell it off or renting to frens sad.gif I love my PC very much. Need to disconnect 12V batt? How abt the programming/memory side sad.gif )
3) Is PC 12 V batt is not the same with normal car 12V batt? (Since it is located under rear passenger area or car's cabin)

Thanks very much again
*
1) if fully discharged no we cannot start.
2)I don't think it can last for 1 month
3) Prius n Prius c 12v battery not same the price for it is rm 500 . No idea what difference . At least can last 5 year but Prius owner on Malaysia have change it after 1 year
4) u can try jump start it if cannot call Toyota to start it for u . But u can charge the battery full first before storing for 1 months put on D n press throttle a little bit with hand break down n holding the brake or can Ho out drive above 70km/h for few minute also can

is it advisable to drive up to genting highland before 1st serivce?
*
Me only after second service start go genting . Depend on u if u planning to keep it more than 5 years keep to the manual book if not just hantam the car kau kau . Some say all new car already past strict QC testing but for me a new built engine break-in cannot be done in few hour testing if they did do the testing 1-2 hours percar . Or maybe few lap of testing percar? I didn't believe much of showroom SA or service SA as later the money to replace part not coming from their pocket

12V battery is used to start the engine in conventional car. It is used once per trip normally. In PC, the engine is started multiple time with EV on and off. So my questions are:

1. In PC, 12V battery tear and wear more than those conventional car?

2. How often 12V battery need to be changed?

3. If PC 144V battery full or half, but 12V battery is drained, can we still start the car? or can run it in EV mode only?

Cheapest PC in Singapore is SGD 138,988 (= RM347,470).

For comparison, latest Mercedes E200 in Malaysia sold at the price of RM363,060 (extra RM15,950 only); 86 in Singapore sold at the price SGD 185,988 (extra SGD47,000 only).

Are the Singaporean PC owner crazy or what?  blink.gif
*
The 12volt battery only used to power up the ecu which in PC I think got about 20 . In the states their 12volt last more than 5 years . At here don't know yet but got 1 owner needed to change after 1 year due to low volt reading according to the SC but the owner didn't get any error or unable to start his car . It was advised by SC to change before it unable to start

Happy New Year, PC members!!!

Btw Keanutan, May i know did u modify your rim? or in what situation u reach 185? down hill?

Added on January 1, 2013, 2:48 am

Not advisable because i feel the engine oil used before first service is just for you to use for a while. After i used for some time i here some clanking sound from engine. not so good to engine.

Bro,

since you already installed the scan guage, can you share with us your findings, as in engine rpm at certain cruising intervals, say 70, 90, 110?

cool to know. smile.gif
*
Read from priuschat say our rpm is not fixed . Let say ur speed is 80km/h sometimes ur rpm is at 1k and 2k it was control by the HSD system . Some owner fed up watching the rpm of heir Prius .

Almost become a proud PC owner but put off by the flimsy door panels. They flex too much even just a light push, especially the back door panels when you push it to open door....
I wonder how you guys get over that feeling?
Or is the showroom car defective?
*
hater will be hater ...some even say MYVI is better build than PC .. too bad u not been able to enjoy the HSD drive ..

just wanted to know how you all esteemed owner managed to get over that thought of that a bit too flexible door panel... that's all.
I test driven twice my friend.
if my asking in any way be littled your decision, sorry lor....i nvr meant it that way!
*
aiyo to u also .. truelly u dont understand what the material used for Prius C plastic all are recycle material . ya the softness of the door panel i notice too . but did u know it act as a cushion incase u go over a rough road and the passanger hand or body lean on it u it feel better than those hard plastic door panel . i m more happy toward the HSD SYSTEM which give me 23.5km/L from k.l(pavillion) to port klang on federal highway speed 130km/h

U got a point there also, to cushion.
I guess we have to accept it as we are the only oil producing country in the world that has to pay an arm & leg for such a great HSD drive technology.
*
actually this is the only country in the entire world where u will get hybrid vehicle is cheaper than conventional vehicle . even in u.s and china their hybrid car are far more higher price than normal car . due to tax hybrid is cheaper here compare top others
