speaking of pump petrol, i never tried full tank ever since few times i let the petrol gun auto fill up till full..until the petrol spilled out! now no longer pump full...RM50 every week can run up to 600km, so considered ok already.

my car going to be 1 year soon, at 20k, I already starts DIY service already, now reaching 30k soon (3k more)...only small mod i did was to add nuts on the bornet and make it lift up a bit...hahahaha.. and four springs (front and rear) were wrap by spring buffer (rubber)

Wow.. so fast reaching 30k most of us just reach 10k.

I thought Toyota SC will do some service reset to the ECU, else there will be warning signal and may not drive until service is done.

Anyway do update us if you encounter in your service. I think I will plan to service at workshop after the warranty.

cuz everyday KL-Cyber...one week RM50 = 600km, one month already 2400KM..almost one year already my car...

I didn't encountered such thing as you mentioned.

First of all, hypermiling is not driving slow. All time in battery will not get good figure also, heard about "pulse and glide"? I drove up to 90km/h while achieving 27km/l.

You mentioned RM50 can last for 600km, it is 22.8km/l then. Not hard to calculate that.
*
don't know about "pulse & glide"...mind to tell ?

I just press whenever I like....like driving normal car only but still the fc is better than my vios la of cos...

When you need to accelerate, push the pedal hard enough, up to half power mode is ok, but best is within the economic range (green bar). Once you reach your desire speed, release the pedal and press again and maintain with minimum acceleration.

Minimum acceleration means
if you are below 70km/h, run with battery.
if you are above 70km/h, keep the pedal to maintain constant speed.

Then you will see the FC climb up along the way.

Tested already, slow acceleration like press the pedal very light (just above the electricity cut off line) all the way to desired speed, end up is slow + burn more fuel. It is not how hard the pedal you push, it is more on how long you let the petrol engine burn during acceleration.

Do you notice that you can get high eco score easily during acceleration?
*
i always did that esp at mex highway...cuz alot of climbing...

but still around 23km/l rclxub.gif

Mex highway is not flat, thus that method can't get high FC.

For Mex highway, i managed to get 27km/l during night with aircond. The trick is constant low pedal, slightly above the battery cut off line (need to use Eco Score mode on the screen). Bad thing is during climbing up the hill, sometimes i can get the speed up to 30km/h only. During flat, i can get about 60km/h-80km/h. The journey took 15mins extra compared to 80-100km/h drive.

I didn't use Mex often, thus i take it as a training of patience. Can you tahan that kind of speed?  biggrin.gif
*
Finally tested your method on mex these 2 days and found out I can have 24km/l every trip

But how if at city road with lots of traffics and turning ?

2. bonet lifted up a bit. Just let the engine more cooler..hahaha

and DIY in the making...(still measuring and finding the right material)

i bought it from Wing Heng...RM60...

from my experience (now at 40k km)...this car save alot in term of service.

i no longer service at SC, i DIY myself now with better and more expensive engine oil...

i found out that our car actually can run 20k km after change engine oil (fully syn)...why? cuz i tried that and when did my service (last saturday) by myself, the engine oil still clean and it still full

You all don't know cuz all of your cars send to service. I unplug the oil filter, wait till it flows out and almost 4 litter of engine oil still in the wastage plus the it still clear after 20k km

just go install Ultra Racing bars.... no need to care about warranty void or not...

even you service with them, if anything happened they don't want to take the responsible also they can said is your fault.

QUOTE(hafizss4 @ Jun 4 2013, 10:36 AM)
the reason why you have to put the gear in D because..

1. during idle, your ICE (engine) will turn off and so will use the 144V battery to operate the electronics, aircond compressors
2. at low speed it will use the battery to run the motor and the aircond compressors
3. these operations drains the battery really fast (especially during a hot day when the compressor works hard to cool down the car)
4. placing the gear in D will enable the car to charge the battery back when the battery runs out of juice
5. it will turn on the engine (even though in idle) to charge the battery for about 30 seconds. at this time the rev of the engine may seem a bit high, but it will turn off again after re-charging

therefore, please place your gear in any positions (P, R, D, B) except for N where at N the car is unable to charge the battery. the worse effect of not charging the battery is:
- battery totally out of juice
- battery unable to start your ICE (because toyota hybrid uses the 144V battery to start the engine. the 12V battery is only used to start the circuit)
- you will have to call a tow truck
this charging of the battery will happen for around 30 seconds, once every 10 minutes if your car is running out of juice.. if your car is fully charged then i think it takes about 15 minutes to 20 minutes maybe to drain the juice..

what i usually do, i just place the gear in N if my battery is still full.. but once it has reached the lowest 20%, i just let it on N for about another minute or 2, then if the traffic is still not moving, the i just place it in D and wait for my car to charge itself, then only i place back to N..
*
that's why when charging, our car is very noisy....

for ppl asking regarding timing belt, well, there is no timing belt in our car, open the bornet and figure it yourself.

Since our engine battery is below our rear passenger seat, change it to bigger capicity...N60 nod.gif

sorry guys, was busy with my house renovation, don't have time to update my mod on open pod filter...

will update with pictures soon when I get all the materials ready and mod.. cool2.gif

drop by and said hello...long time no visit here.

if any of you saw a black prius c with the bonnet lifted up a bit on the street, flash 9 me ya tongue.gif

anyway, already in 60k! Long time didn't service at Toyata after 20k! If you guys ever do self service, you guys will know how good this car can be.

my first self-service, i found out that at 10k, the engine oil quality still in good condition, then i try to run for 15k for next service, again me and my friend were shock to see the quality of the engine oil still that good condition! ok, this round try till 20k, already in 16k the car still running smooth and fc still maintained as usual...

mod vice, not really cuz recently busy with wedding, house reno etc etc and no budget to mod car...i only lifted up my bonnet a bit and added rubber spacer on my spring.. that's all. My project of open pod air filter currently put on hold as i don't have the time to do all the measurements and find the materials...

i'm going to change tyres soon...cuz botak-ing soon...

im thinking to put 195/60/15...
