Wow.. so fast reaching 30k most of us just reach 10k.

I thought Toyota SC will do some service reset to the ECU, else there will be warning signal and may not drive until service is done.

Anyway do update us if you encounter in your service. I think I will plan to service at workshop after the warranty.

What would you guys say the standard FC for PC?? without Hypermiling?
I want to know, so that i can make a check point if i have dont my driving right.... >.< still not sure if i hypermile correctly or not.... still not able to get the correct driving patterns for PC... been driving about a month .... FC i am having is 755 per RM64 (refill when the indicator blinks).... i notice i have not been going easy on my paddle... >.< as my journey to work and back ... the route are jammed and goes up and down hills alot...

First of all, hypermiling is not driving slow. All time in battery will not get good figure also, heard about "pulse and glide"? I drove up to 90km/h while achieving 27km/l.

You mentioned RM50 can last for 600km, it is 22.8km/l then. Not hard to calculate that.

When you need to accelerate, push the pedal hard enough, up to half power mode is ok, but best is within the economic range (green bar). Once you reach your desire speed, release the pedal and press again and maintain with minimum acceleration.

Minimum acceleration means
if you are below 70km/h, run with battery.
if you are above 70km/h, keep the pedal to maintain constant speed.

Then you will see the FC climb up along the way.

Tested already, slow acceleration like press the pedal very light (just above the electricity cut off line) all the way to desired speed, end up is slow + burn more fuel. It is not how hard the pedal you push, it is more on how long you let the petrol engine burn during acceleration.

Do you notice that you can get high eco score easily during acceleration?

Mex highway is not flat, thus that method can't get high FC.

For Mex highway, i managed to get 27km/l during night with aircond. The trick is constant low pedal, slightly above the battery cut off line (need to use Eco Score mode on the screen). Bad thing is during climbing up the hill, sometimes i can get the speed up to 30km/h only. During flat, i can get about 60km/h-80km/h. The journey took 15mins extra compared to 80-100km/h drive.

I didn't use Mex often, thus i take it as a training of patience. Can you tahan that kind of speed?

Ultra racing bars for our PC is now available (maybe for a while ord). Anybody installed? My concern is that will it affect the VSC? Will it void warranty? You all know lah, UMW sometimes very kacau one...

Hi, If I install reverse camera+ front camera with Toyota OEM DVD/GPS player, will it void warranty?

the reason why you have to put the gear in D because..

1. during idle, your ICE (engine) will turn off and so will use the 144V battery to operate the electronics, aircond compressors
2. at low speed it will use the battery to run the motor and the aircond compressors
3. these operations drains the battery really fast (especially during a hot day when the compressor works hard to cool down the car)
4. placing the gear in D will enable the car to charge the battery back when the battery runs out of juice
5. it will turn on the engine (even though in idle) to charge the battery for about 30 seconds. at this time the rev of the engine may seem a bit high, but it will turn off again after re-charging

therefore, please place your gear in any positions (P, R, D, B) except for N where at N the car is unable to charge the battery. the worse effect of not charging the battery is:
- battery totally out of juice
- battery unable to start your ICE (because toyota hybrid uses the 144V battery to start the engine. the 12V battery is only used to start the circuit)
- you will have to call a tow truck
this charging of the battery will happen for around 30 seconds, once every 10 minutes if your car is running out of juice.. if your car is fully charged then i think it takes about 15 minutes to 20 minutes maybe to drain the juice..

what i usually do, i just place the gear in N if my battery is still full.. but once it has reached the lowest 20%, i just let it on N for about another minute or 2, then if the traffic is still not moving, the i just place it in D and wait for my car to charge itself, then only i place back to N..
