http://www.maxis.com.my/4GLTE/main.aspAccording to Maxis website, old plans from here can be used with LTE. Therefore, any legacy users here at LTE location? QUOTE We have launched 4G LTE in parts of the Klang Valley in the areas of Cyberjaya, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Damansara Utama, Desa Sri Hartamas, Bandar Puchong Jaya and Bandar Sunway. Other areas that have partial coverage are SS2, Taman Paramount, Section 17 and 19 in Petaling Jaya, Plaza Damansara, Bandar Kinrara and Taman Wawasan in Puchong. What's interesting to me is I would like to know what device is Maxis selling at RM400

QUOTE(krayz_underground @ Dec 31 2012, 11:09 PM) Tried scanning for LTE here in Cyberjaya. Again it's there, but can't register or hook to the LTE network. Need to wait 12 AM? Hold on tight you may be the first actual consumer who hop on to the LTE expressway

QUOTE(maxcheam @ Dec 31 2012, 11:18 PM) from what I see, only one LTE modem will be offered at launch I believe Maxis would launch a modem router (B593) with a E398 Unless Maxis decided to be cheapskate and go with Huawi E397 / E392

QUOTE(Erehwon @ Dec 31 2012, 11:49 PM) Well at the very least I understand why my speed at home so lousy Surrounded by at least 4 to 5 high density condominiums all probably sharing one tower Got any method to deal with this congestion short of burning down ppl's house? Find the right tower Good stuff is hard to find too

QUOTE(fitzhex @ Jan 1 2013, 12:04 PM) e392 1st or e398? the other seller say e392 is newer? They are together Not newer or older. However Huawei usually rank their device based on the modem E398 is the biggest tho

QUOTE(fitzhex @ Jan 1 2013, 12:12 PM) but why e398 no support dual LTE mode? bcoz of the heat? No one knows Huawei planning Most telco company in the world uses E398 instead of E392 Maxis have to cater their TDD/FDD partners eg Redtone

QUOTE(alf233 @ Jan 1 2013, 12:18 PM) Not quite true.. Redtone was allocated FDD LTE spectrum.. Only yes and P1 get TDD LTE spectrum... So sharing with redtone will still be FDD.. Just to share: I've actually been using E392 for several weeks and never had heat issue.. But probably i'm not a heavy user and didnt do a stress test to the modem Hmm, Redtone is FDD too. Now this is getting more interesting. Thanks for the news, anyway, hopefully somebody able to do a test E398 VS E392 on LTE soon. I would appreciate if you can post a LTE speedtest

QUOTE(alf233 @ Jan 1 2013, 12:27 PM) with E392, i was able to get dl ~60Mbps and ul ~15Mbps.. I guess i was the only one in the network that time and in very good signal (SNR > 25) Added on January 1, 2013, 12:28 pmYep.. No tweak.. 100% default That was quite a nice speed Another thing interesting to me is, Huawei E392 actually share the same firmware with E398 although the chip is different.

QUOTE(greenlp_87 @ Jan 1 2013, 12:58 PM) hehe..i already ask maxis cs n have been told they will start spreading the lte coverage part by part within this month.. I just hope the backhaul to each base station is increased rather than using relays That's how hard to online at Cameron Highland
