Has anybody jumped from Galaxy Nexus to S2?

it's a step backwards if you want latest android. in terms of smoothness, galaxy nexus wins. i've tried cm10 on g version but i can't get the same smoothness. galaxy nexus has bad battery life, that's the reason why i switched back to s2.

this is very weird.. first time this happened to my phone..
something was killing my battery?

was using it for less than an hour, then it dropped till 40%. after that i went to sleep.
woke up at 1.30 and saw that my phone had 1% left..
and the battery was dropping like 2% in less than 1 minute!

on normal times it would just drop till 80% or something, but yesterday's battery drop was too quick..

wifi seems to be kept awake the whole night. normally it would auto-disable after 5 mins of not using or something!

plus i rebooted my phone before i used it, so it was sort of "fresh" with the processes running in the phone?
didnt install any new apps. but it happened for the first time yesterday. 





I think Google maps is reporting your location. Turn off location reporting. Or off Google apps access for location settings.

hmm, but i need to enable location as i use maps often.
it has been enabled for 2-3 weeks straight but only yesterday night this happened.

what happen if samsung s2 wifi not turning to light green anymore? it keep freeze and sometime my phone restart itself after it happen.

Will have to report back as I've only been using it for a little over a day but so far it's blazing haha.

I never noticed that you can reassign the menu hardware button to become "recent app switcher" (d'oh!) so that's pretty cool as well.

Its impossible to silent the camera without rooting right?

most of the time when im playing game or browsing, my phone heats up. im just not sure if it's a hardware problem or the rom/kernel. the batt drains quite fast too. even after i changed to 2000mAh battery.

any suggestion on what should i do guys?

im not sure.. i think it's 44. quite hot la. i even set the ExTweaks profile to extreme battery. sama je.

wil it be clashing if i set using the AOKP settings and at the same time, ExTweaks is installed?

I know everyone is talking bout technical stuff in the last few pages (and they are extremely informative, btw. I like).

But I am wonder what is a good case for the S2? I dont mind it being thicker, I find the S2 too thin & keeps sliding out of my hands (no I dont have super sweaty hands). Any suggestions? Rm20 would be my max for a case I think?

Same case with mine, obviously bloated and causing problem like auto shut off when playing high end games, now even worse, Facebook half way also can off.

Can't find original 2000mah anywhere, will settle for the Sun Global 1800mah instead.

hi everyone i wanna ask about my phone why everytime someone calling me when i answer it automatically turn on the speaker?
and also my phone won't charge i must take out the battery and restart it
after that pop up show car mode enabled..click to exit car mode..after i disable it then it will charge..something with voice command powered by vingo something.. i want to permanently disable it

next month 4.1.2 update ?

yeah2. forgot to tel that v3.1.3 got bug with keyboard/ wifi
and sometime with hang on you.

maybe u wanna try cMIUI.
