QUOTE(mr hellscream @ Feb 1 2013, 10:47 AM) to those using Nexus 7 3G, I found out easier way to install whatsapp. find the apk, http://www.whatsapp.com/android/ and install it. go to Play Store and install Go SMS Pro. install as usual. work for me, no root etc but need sim in Nexus with it's own number yeah, this method works.

For whatsapp, i didnt install the bluestack thingy in my laptop...i just did this 1. Install WhatsApp, once installed, close the app without running it.
2. Install AppGuard - Start up open/run appguard. - Select "Secure a new app" - Select "Whatsapp" - Appguard will take you through 3-steps:[*]scan and secure application[*]Uninstall existing application[*]Install secured application
Once the process is completed, within Appguard, you'll need to change Whatsapp Permissions by removing the setting for "Phone calls - read phone status and identity"
If i recall correctly, it will ask for ur hp number upon opening whatsapp for the first time. I keyednin mine but they didnt even send the activation code to me. But it still works lik charm now.

QUOTE(cocooh @ Jan 30 2013, 09:41 AM) Depends on the taste of the user, I would like a Tegra 4 n full hd to watch hd movies on my Nexus It is all going with the trend, Nexus 7 is aimed to outsell kindle and change the course of the market by shifting from ipad to android tablet, if all tablet is moving to hd resolutions, I would doubt that nexus 7 will do the same Anyway, can't wait for Google IO haihz now that google IO will unveil the new nexus, really makes me hold on the plan to get one right now. will majority owner here upgrade to the new nexus when unveiled in May later?

I'm planning to, hoping that the screen would be full HD and stomping in 2GB of ram Nexus 7 1st gen isnt that bad, it is still voted as the best Android tablet for 2012 I won't be surprised if the next Nexus has a Tegra 4 in it

It announces in May and we will only get it around Aug-October, like the Nexus 7. Hopefully Newegg can help us again.

I think most 720p HD movies will be less than 4GB. No point putting a gigantic 8gb 1080p full HD into it since the screen reso only 1280x800.

Whatsapp work easily if you restore from Titanium.
By the way, smoothrom is my daily driver eversince I first bought Nexus 7. Lack of features is true, but long lasting smooth is what I need.

Seems like 2nd gen of Nexus 7 would be other processor ? Or it is too early to speculate ? http://www.androidauthority.com/nvidia-tegra-4-fail-152894/If Tegra 4 is not in the main frame, next idea would be Qualcomm since they were the ones who leaked the road map of next Android version
