finally got my OTG Y-Cable rclxms.gif

Result from testing with external hard disk...
---
StickMount ~ Didnt support NTFS sad.gif
Nexus Media Importer ~ Support NTFS wub.gif
USB OTG Helper ~ Didnt Test tongue.gif
---
tested with kindle fire+cm10 ~ can charge and at the same time use external hdd drool.gif
nexus 7 stock ~ can't charge, can only use external hdd (hv another reason to change rom whistling.gif)
---
use otg without connecting charging cable ~ all no problem
usb storage, keyboard and mouse ~ no problem
---
WD 1TB USB2 (3 ntfs partitions) - Working
Segate 1TB USB3 (2 ntfs partitions) - Working (Some time will produce beeb sound)
Note: if not enuf power the hdd will beeb, fyi USB 2 need 500mA, USB 3 need 900mA...
---
thumb drive + charging = n7 not working, kindle fire working
thumb drive without charging = both working
---
nexus 7 seem to have hard time detecting the external hdd, connect 10times oni 1time can detect the hard disk. at first, i thought otg cable problem, but the kindle hv no problem everytime can detect the device, and can charge too.
on n7, thumb drive working, mouse keyboard oso working...
so i rule out the cable issue...

really scratching my head now
wondering is it stock rom issue? does anyone have experience with this issue?

sad to say but yes. Games like NFSMW seems to lag quite a bit for me. Asphalt is better but with occasional freezes.

Earlier I had a comment on battery draining unusually fast.I managed to download a battery monitoring app and found out that it was actually Google Reader was the culprit. I think because I subscribe to a lot of feeds and they are set to fetch the updates instantly all the time, causing my nexus's battery to drain fast even on standby. Now standby time has normalized. After a day not touching it, I only lose 2-3% rclxms.gif

Sometimes it could be down to few games itself not reaching maturity. Eg. Subway Surfers. One major update after that no more lag. Browsing is superb.

p/s: Anyone facing issues with scrolling using google chrome? I have to scroll alot of times to reach to the top page. cry.gif
