On 4.2 look for it using root explorer as is hidden file
Highly recommend use twrp recovery as you can backup to external thumb drives n save space
Backup n restore is 20-30% faster than CWM

any recommendation for free maps apps? preferably one that can use gps to pinpoint current location.

Does not require navigation, just plain old maps.

Damn..  Was running without case for 1 week plus after igot my n7,and got few scratches on my screen already

its gorilla glass, how did u got it scratched?

I am trying out sygic. then waze then google map. too bad google map got limit of 80mb.

also, I got poetic case. but it kind of loose. No screen protector. Do I really need SP? oily smudge is quite unsightly. Should I get one that is matte?

Guys, have been really unlucky here..my first model had the low power failure problem, where it dies at 20%. So I exchanged it with a new unit at newegg, which I'm grateful for. Turns out the new unit now has screen flickering problem 

I got a Nexus 7 32GB from Newegg. Just noticed that there's screen lift. I remember there's a 1 month 1-to-1 exchange from Newegg. Should I just return it?

This may be a silly question but anyone notice the top and bottom of the N7 is slightly rounded and not as flat like the sides?

I would say around 700 since it's used set. And... 32GB Wifi from Newegg is just 820.9

But if you sell to those that don't know about newegg, maybe can get higher.

Retail price for 16GB wifi now is 899 right?

I bought a OTG cable but I have no idea why it doesn't detect anything that I plugged inside, perhaps the OTG i bought is not good? any suggested online trader here that is compatible for N7. Thanks!

These roms performance wise I dont see any major significant difference. Its difference is in the features and is up to you to judge whether you need those features. Battery wise also I do not find any significant differences
All are on its original kernels

This OTG cable is getting annoying I bought two and both are not working. I wonder what's the problem plugin mouse also no detect. Restarted the tablet while the cable still there also didn't work. Anyone have any solution? I would prefer not to root it.

hows the batt performance for nexus 7 on 4.2? heard lots of 4.2 devices drains the battery faster

I feel that the battery life is just average only. Standby time seems a little short. I didn't touch the tablet since morning and when i checked it at night, it fell from 90% to around 50%.

Watching a 1.5 hour movie typically uses up to 40% of the battery life...

Sorry I'm still not pro with android yet. What do u mean by hw decoder? Are u referring to the player that I used?
I downloaded some free game apps and all that. I always make sure that they are turned off and not running in the background. If certain apps are causing the problem even though they are nor running, is there a way to determine for sure which are those?
