regarding on my post above.. suddently i get this blue screen error on my S6240

Hardware Malfunction
Call you hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity check/memory parity error
NMI: Channel check/IOCHK
The system has halted.

Beside having that randomly freeze, suddently the above blue screen. but it happen one time only.

What is the problem anyway? now the laptop run normally. not sure when it going to freeze again. not sure the blue screen happen again (it only happen for the first time just now)

I bought this laptop in June 2006. Does it still under warranty. Im confuse, cos when i buy this laptop they told me 1 year. but i read on the net it say 3 years. Can anybody confirm?

try reinstall back with fresh copy of windows xp.

your notebook come with 3 years warranty(1year parts & labour,2 & 3 year parts only).so definitely u have to pay rm120 for the labour
