Who won't be jumping if like that?

Did the Russians give such a similar assurance to the Sukhoi built by India?
*
HAL and Rosoboronexport joint in building sukhoi
so kind of 50-50 iinm!
but you have to know this
HAL track record is not so nice to the eye
they are very capable but there is a niggle problems there and there
if you're Dassault would you take the risk?

QUOTE(yinchet @ Apr 13 2013, 01:40 AM)
not 100% though.
Thales spectra were not included. laugh.gif
Dassault want to have more control in QC parts, which I think they dun have much confident with India capabilities. biggrin.gif
anything goes wrong there will affected dassault as well.

100 tech in building the frame, fuselage and other bodyparts, good enough for the plane to fly

between MPA, Patrol vessel or attack helos..which is more important to procure with our tight budget we're having now..? i quite agree with Marhalim said in his website about opposing the army's plan to push Mindef to buy Tiger helos..
*
according to the list you gave?
MPA (second hand for short term is good enough for now, new ones for long term)
Patrol Vessel then Helos!

QUOTE(Quantum_thinking @ Apr 13 2013, 01:50 AM)
The French then have a big ass dilemma then.

If i am the guy supplying PC components, i usually assemble for my customer so that no stuff like "sorry i bent the processor pin in the motherboard, How ah?" (not covered by warranty) can happen to me as i am responsible for one to one exchange for most of the PC parts i supplied within 7 days.

So, I do feel that how the French are feeling over this especially they are not told about they have to be responsible for something that is not within their control.

BUT!!!

the deal is delayed not derailed
the Sukhoi solution if all deal not go thru
this is not small business, so every clause and terms must be check thoroughly!

What Dassault said was simple, if HAL builds Rafale, don't expect the aircraft to be in same quality like the 18 aircrafts they buy directly from Dassault:
*
HAL track record is not very clean either,
this thing is still under discussion, hoping that the deal will go thru!

QUOTE(noavatar @ Apr 14 2013, 11:51 PM)
Industry Shooting for Army’s First New Rifle in Half Century

The U.S. military has not changed its troops’ primary weapon in 50 years. Efforts to replace the M16 family of infantry rifles with a significantly improved design have repeatedly failed, resulting in soldiers and Marines carrying the same weapon into combat in the 21st century that was first introduced when their parent’s generation was fighting the Vietnam War.

The M16’s streak as the longest-running standard U.S. infantry rifle could be ended later this year when the Army announces results from two years of sorting through candidates for the “individual carbine” competition.

Several companies are awaiting word on the Army’s progress with the individual carbine competition. The companies still in the running are Adcor Defense, Colt Defense, FNH USA, Heckler & Koch, Remington and Beretta USA Corp.

The competition phase has already lasted two years. The IC competition began with a request for proposals in 2011, and sample testing is currently underway. A decision on which rifle the Army prefers is expected in 2013.

After determining the weapon that best meets the requirement, the Army will conduct a cost-benefit analysis. This will determine if it is in the best interest of the Army to procure the winning carbine, and if so, what the ultimate fielding plan will be.

Greg Ulsh, vice president of military operations at FNH USA, said the company remains “curious” about the Army’s intentions. It has been more than 10 months since anyone at his company, which also manufactures M16s for the Army, has had word from the military, he said.

“Of course we are very anxious to find out what happens,” Ulsh said. “We think we have a great gun.”

That sentiment was shared by spokesmen for each of the companies vying for the IC contract. For most, it is the third time in as many decades they have offered the Army an alternative to the M16.

the best choice would be HK416 with a separate contract for M4 conversion kits to upgrade the current stock of M4.but the US military is stupid and likes to burn through money so going for FN since FN manufacturing already makes the M16/M249/M240/M2 for the military so they have a lot of pull

Bukan semua Sulu tu musuh kita, bro.

the Kedah class that I've not climb on is Kedah and Kelantan!

QUOTE(hafizushi @ Apr 16 2013, 09:12 PM)
hello guys, I'm new in this thread. So for this type of kedah class what are the armaments?

Also the Lekiu class should be a better or more powerful than this Kedah class right?
*
Lekiu class is the best ship of in the inventory of the TLDM

QUOTE(hafizushi @ Apr 16 2013, 11:49 PM)
tbf i dont think this ship capable catching any speed boat they just there to spot any...and the weaponry wont be able to reach those speed boat as well
*
if there is a need to chase a speed boat, the kedah class have 2 high speed RHIB that can do the job
large ship are not meant to chase small boat!

we invited the RAF's Typhoon to do exercise with us eh..now i'm very sure the RMAF is going to pick EF..uhh i want rafale.. sad.gif
*
The RAF have annual exercise with RMAF,
at very least twice a year, the difference is this 3 years they bring the typhoon instead of Harrier or Tornado

QUOTE(faizyusof94 @ Apr 17 2013, 12:10 PM)
i see..no ammunition on their pylons when they fly..shooting blanks??
*
They are testing their sensor and simulation
unlike Rafale, half of typhoon capability is still myth as it is only on Paper!

the whole issue happen after the SGPV announcement.
The Gowind chose more likely because many high ranking like the design.
During the bidding the wind on gowind were blowing so hard. laugh.gif
*
IINM German company was found trying to sabotage the other bidding company
at the end there was 2 company that left to win, it was Damen and DCNS
At first the party that surely positive to win is Damen, there are already started their finalize their terms and during this process the contract talks broke down
iirc Damen refuse for TOT as much as the RMN wanted (only small things iinm) while DCNS do.
