I just bought a sandisk 64gb micro SD card, outright from the box, I plugged into the phone, in my phone I reformatted the sd card, may I know what format it is now? Fat32 or Exfat? do they make any difference? Gonna swap the memory soon, just wanna make sure I download the right file from Uncle Benny's blog. thanks guys.

If I'm not wrong, it should be Exfat right? Nvm, I might wanna check the format when I got home tonight.

64 GB is default exFAT. And there is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to format it again. You can use it right out of the box

Added on December 4, 2012, 3:50 pmThose users who report "exploding" cahrger do post it in Samsung Note 2 facebook page. I also suggest you email the editors of the Verge, AndroidCentral, Engadget and Pocketnow.com to explode this issue over the world and guaranteed it will wake Samsung up

Format by default on note 2 should be exfat. Only pc format you can choose fat32 or exfat.

My charger exploded last month (black marks all over the charger body), got immediate replacement from SME service center in JB. That charger did not have the hissing sound before it exploded, I used it for like 2 weeks.

But the replacement charger got hissing sound straight away when switched on. I went back to complain, the technician there tested 3-4 other new chargers all got hissing sound. His conclusion is that the hissing sound is normal for Note 2 sad.gif
So I could not get a replacement for this hissing problem.

not sure about your non-hissing sound exploded charger.

but on the other new charger which produce hissing sounds is normal?
Many says that it should not be normal... quite funny i find in your technician there.

Can I use this analogy, one patient died of other cause. another patient diagnosed with AIDS, but there are also AIDS found on other patients, but this problem cannot be fixed. So the conclusion is AIDS is normal. lol...

Frankly if u ask the aunty that sweep the floor she will also say charger got hissing sound is not normal. Dun need technician/engineer for that.

But you must know the fact, the note 2 adapter is different from other older adapters cos of its charging speed and small size. The technology/component used can/will be different. Thus u cannot conclude that hissing sound is abnormal as it could be totally normal.

Conclusion --> Samsung need to make a formal announcement.

who want to make such a foolish announcement as all those so call having "defective" charger all soo "holy/generous/kind/humble" even with an exploded charger still take it easy, no photoshot, no nothing and just simply nagging at forum and fb... whistling.gif doh.gif

highly suspected it's due to the users own flaw that causing the explode, not dare to show the photo as this will force the Samsung to re-act and end up embarassing themself... yawn.gif

Most of us frequent rom flashers uses TB. Pro version allows for doing batch backup and restore which is very important for us.

hehe... will u do some closeup recording of those hissing sound and post it up, let link it up to whole world to create pressure to Samsung?? as I say no evidence or sample, >99% users without hissing won't know how "serious" it is...

you need to make the 1% flaw significant by giving more sample, like the sample of hissing vs the sample of quiet charger side by side... brows.gif

There are already some videos on youtube. brows.gif But it is not an issue for me. Dun really hear it unless my ear totally next to the adapter

Some users are worried (people get worried/scare of abnormal and unknown things. normal human reaction. rolleyes.gif ). Hence why this discussion is ongoing for so long.... but frankly talking about it here is doing nothing to help but just create more fear. tongue.gif
