Hmmm....Found out that SAP Business One is actually a compact ERP solutions for the Small and Medium Size companies. SAP R/3 is for the much bigger companies (like having lots of branches/users around the world).

Anyone have any idea on mySAP?

Is there a local market for SAP Business One? I understand that it is a new product.

izzit all SAP financial module is called SAP FICO?
my company's SAP is a modified version to fit our industry needs.
The SAP called "SAP 4.6c". Wat that is means?
I also notice the bottom window mention SAP R/3? This is the most basic, rite?

FICO is the short form of Finance and Controlling which is part of the Financials Module of the R/3 system. Other components are Accounting - General (AC), Treasury (TR),
Investment Management (IM), Project System (PS), Enterprise Controlling (EC), and Real Estate Management.

The SAP 4.6c is a subrelease of a version. On which system in SAP are you familiar with?

Find out more here.
http://help.sap.com/content/documentation/..._sbs_r3_46c.htm

R/3 is mainly a huge system of SAP running on the R/3 BASIS middleware. Above the middleware you would have the R/3 application layer as well as the ABAP/4 development layer.

FICO is financial controller or financial control... not sure

R/3 is the old version of the SAP ERP... the "R" stands for realtime data processing and the number 3 relates to a three-tier application architecture: database, application server and client (SAPgui)...

it;s predecessor was R/2...

they're build with ABAP (the programming language)... and ABAP is acutally build with C/C++ i think....

net weaver is the new SAP platform for easier integration with current technology where resources are abundant in the market, for example Java....

i've heard rumours saying SAP might just use Java on all the new products...

it's SAP strategy to target on the SME's... with scaled-down products like SAP Business One and mySAP All-in-One...

cheaper mar hire java programmers and functional consultants.... compare to hire functional consultants that know ABAP programming... i think so la... tongue.gif

check out their website and wikipedia - your free encyclopedia !!

SAP NetWeaver is latest SAP product to sit on existing apps and integrate them to run as one
eg SAP (on Oracle/DB2) as DB, other data on DB2 and reporting server will be integrated by NetWeaver and used like a single app

im in the HR business so im giving examples as per what i know smile.gif
