QUOTE(reno_raird @ Mar 9 2006, 09:59 AM) izzit all SAP financial module is called SAP FICO? FICO is the short form of Finance and Controlling which is part of the Financials Module of the R/3 system. Other components are Accounting - General (AC), Treasury (TR), my company's SAP is a modified version to fit our industry needs. The SAP called "SAP 4.6c". Wat that is means? I also notice the bottom window mention SAP R/3? This is the most basic, rite? Investment Management (IM), Project System (PS), Enterprise Controlling (EC), and Real Estate Management. The SAP 4.6c is a subrelease of a version. On which system in SAP are you familiar with? Find out more here. http://help.sap.com/content/documentation/..._sbs_r3_46c.htm R/3 is mainly a huge system of SAP running on the R/3 BASIS middleware. Above the middleware you would have the R/3 application layer as well as the ABAP/4 development layer. |

To be honest, I am currently working on a project based on SAP and most of the senior people here are not certified but they have vast experience with it.

QUOTE(mac.tay @ Mar 16 2006, 04:22 PM) I have no experience is SAP whatsoever and my background is in engineering and majoring in hardware but still I am on a SAP project. I guess it just depends on your personality at first. Still considering whether to take the certification though. My team lead has encouraged me to do it though even though he doesn't have it himself |

I am not too sure whether there is a local market for it. But if there is a business need for it, there will surely be a local market for it. It is meant for mid-sized enterprises and businesses (SME) and the government is pushing for more SMEs around. Although from an Asian mentality, investing in SAP is actually looking towards the future thus it may take some time to adapt it. But once it kicks off, I am sure more and more SMEs will start going towards an integrated platform.

To be honest most of the courses for the Malaysia schedule has not been confirmed. Best if you look at the Singapore schedule instead. The same address but change the MY into SG in the address.
