Nuri Şahin has returned from a broken nose injury which saw him ruled out of action for the past two weeks.

Şahin suffered a broken nose during Liverpool's Europa League clash with Serie A side Udinese.

The Turkish international midfielder had to undergo surgery and had to rest for a fortnight due to the risk of inflicting further damage.

Şahin has returned to training and will be able to play against Fulham FC in the Premier League this weekend with the support of a protective face mask.

The 24-year-old midfielder hasn't played in Liverpool's last five league games however, Brendan Rodgers is expected to make changes following the Reds disappointing 3-1 loss to Aston Villa last week and Şahin is likely to make a return.

Şahin joined Liverpool on loan this season, the 24-year-old midfielder has three goals and three assists for the Reds in all competitions this season.
