Once bitten, twice shy. Same mistake, cannot repeat twice.

If we dont get any players this time, Anfield will erupt with voices of "Yanks Out!" tongue.gif

My preferred January line - up

Sturridge --- Suarez --- Sterling
--------------Botak J--------------
--------Allen -- Lucas----------
Enrique-Agger-Skrtel-Johnson
-----------Reina------------------

Assuming that Sturridge comes on board (but not for 16m - that's idiotic), we'll have a two-man forward line. Hopefully it will work out.

Are we going to have one winger? It will certainly be an odd looking liverbird that flies with one wing! Who's going to play the other winger? I have not seen much success with wingers in recent years, not the kind that goes to the corners and then crosses the ball anyway. Sterling's last ball delivery has been more painful than anything, in my opinion. The youngster's got skills but he doesn't yet know what to do with the ball at the edge of the box. Yes, he scored a nice goal but his shooting is generally weak. I think there's just too much hype around this guy.

I'd prefer a Enrique-Allen- Lucas-Shelvey or Suso midfield combo, provided Allen regains his form.

Wisdom can fill in the full-back position or better still, resolve the problem with Kelly and put him back there.

Dan will cost $12 mil according to ESPN and other news site. I favor Suarez and Sturridge combination to be fruitful because Suarez is tricky, and Sturridge is quick to pounce if he can regain the form he had with Bolton. Just what we need.

Tom Ince will be on board as well. Attacking forward and left winger. As for shooting, almost the whole squad is poor, not just Sterling.

I favor Gerrard getting a rest to study tactical movement on the bench before he starts the next game. Dont think Wisdom will back so soon though and Kelly will be in February I guess.

Wow..Kelly only available in Feb huh? too bad then. Downing may have to continue at LB if he's not bundled off in Jan.

Where shooting is concerned, Johnson, Enrique, Shelvey and Agger are all quite powerful shooters - haha, one midfielder and 3 defenders! (of course Gerrard HAD a fantastic shooting range!) I thought I saw Suso tried a shot once - off target but pretty strong.

Compared to theirs, Sterling shoots like a sissy, honestly.

Yea, he doesn't even play regularly for chelski..anything above 6m is expensive already!

When is Borini coming back anyway?! we seem to be so poor in the purchasing dept - always pay alot for things/people that are broken or easily broken, and also cannot function as described/promised.

Always looking for a bargain and then kena plucked!

Bro, that was like how many seasons ago. You hardly can find a good British player nowadays.

Just let BR buy whoever he wants.

While the club can sack him, the club cant sack the forumers that suggested Hunterlaar, Walcott, Cavani, Demba Ba and whoever. At one time many people were harping on about Papiss Cisse because he was on form and now suddenly quiet down.

Let him get the players that he feels can fit into his plan. Afterall, he is responsible for bringing the best out of Daniel Sturridge if he joins and also Fabio Borini when he comes back. He is answerable, not us.

All the players above were academy players. Our Brit purchases normally have a good season with the club and then fade off completely

It's a PR exercise. Sturridge will play behind Suarez, Ince on the left and Sterling on the right.

3 black players surrounding Suarez. Nobody can call him a racist anymore, take that English media!

hahahha..nice one...

Read this to have a better understanding of what kind of player Sturridge is.

What can Sturridge bring to Liverpool?

'When I arrived (at Liverpool in November 2010) Tom was at the end of his contract,' the Frenchman told talkSPORT.

One of the first things I did was meet him and his dad, and Paul was concerned the style of play (under Roy Hodgson) was not suited to his son, who was a quick winger.

'When Roy went I think we made four or five contract offers to Tom which he kept turning down...he didn’t feel it was the right place for him to stay.

'The last offer would have made him the highest-earning player beneath the first team but to be fair to him I don’t think money was the issue.

'We never released him. You don’t release a player like this, you can’t force him to stay.

'I am very pleased that he is doing well. If they buy him back, good for him and good for Liverpool.'

Now we know how Carrol, Henderson, Downing and co ended up with high wage sweat.gif doh.gif
