Allocation set to 64kb? I must read more on this.. hmm.gif
notworthy.gif Sarcasm at best.
*
you using 64gb U1 sandisk?
as from what i've benchmark the 64kb block transfer rate is on par with 128kb so you won't lost any write/read speed and will gain the most out of the card...

imagine this:

you have 100 files all under 64kb small small file

1. If you're using the default exfat with 128kb allocation then you will end up using 12.8Mb
2. If you're using 64kb exfat allocation then you will end up using 6.4Mb and save 6.4Mb

the allocation size is the minimum memory block size for every single file you write within the system... icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(teq @ Nov 29 2012, 05:36 PM)
yes, but there is a drawback, the read speed will be reduced if you read big file (>64kb), besides, the FAT table will be double sized (you need to store 100 memory addresses for 64kb compared to 50 memory addresses for 128kb FAT table)

so if you have a lot small file = use 64kb
big files = 128kb++ (movies etc) thumbup.gif
*
read/write speed already verified the 64kb is on par with 128kb for sandisk 64gb... thumbup.gif

including reading large files? hmm.gif

imagine you have to pick up 100 stones from the floor vs 50 stones..
*
yup... verified with 1GB file size... the mem controller from sandisk seem ok with it, but 32kb allocation size NOT recommended as the speed will reduce to about half... sweat.gif

did u do UV?

I've just done with Perseus kernel, all uv 100mv but the 1.8ghz set to 1350mv (uv 50mv)...

the default voltage for 1.6ghz is 1400mv? as I'm not sure is the System Tuner initial read out value is correct or not... hmm.gif

Satugadget is good and trusted seller . He has a very big shop ( about 3 times normal shoplot) at wisma pgrm. You can go there and have handson demo
Other popular and reliable sellers : directd at SS15, item.com at USJ Summit, alieamin ( his company several outlets in Kland and KL) - all these contacts at garage sales
Price keep changing every day - eg about 3 weeks ago i was at satugadget - Note 2 SME was RM 1975+++ but 2 days later due to shortage it went up to RM 2080

Added on December 1, 2012, 9:35 amFor those who just love the 15 toggle modes here is MORE -  the latest 23 toggles from Wannam - just flash it from recovery. It ONLY works on all DEODEXED XXDLJ2 Roms ONLY! ( any developer)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2022255
*
also remember to use TB to uninstall those 16 toggles "Quick Setting" as it seem it's overlapping and will cause weird toggle behaviour... nod.gif

check your wifi "normal" connected speed - 54Mb, 72Mb, 150Mb or 300Mb.

All these so call Wifi File Transfer never utilise the internet speed, it's purely using the raw wifi speed... so if your router support those "N" spec it should connected at 150/300 Mb so let say u get 300Mb mean u can get ~30Mb/s (also affected by ur max sd write speed which is only about 15Mb/s) then u should get 1Gb data transfer in 1000/15 = 67 secs

if u get 1Gb in 5mins mean u get 3.3Mb/s icon_rolleyes.gif

Nicregi: I tested redpill kernel
Is not suitable for swap memory
Eg external ( ie original internal) cannot detect in solid explorer but can in astro file manager
Chinese titled songs now appear as gibberish even in poweramp player
Gallery duplicate like yours
Revert back to Perseus no more such issues
*
redpill 0.9 not stable, battery life sux too... it's never proper implemented as the new kernel make the whole file system show 2 extsdcard/sdcard1 which i think also causing overhead file system caching thus ruin the overall power saving capability... sweat.gif

technically my note2 full charge only survived like longest maybe 15 hours only.
The reason is i play it alot, turn on dataplan all the time, msg, whatsapps, browsing...etc...
sometimes only 12 hours for a single charge.

i dont like to turn dime on my screen because it will make my phone looks less awesome...
so better just buy a powerbank as a battery backup always...  whistling.gif

or those 6400mAH pregnanted batt... LOL laugh.gif

Yes in fact you can do that. I think Android will choose which is the strongest connectivity and then connects you especially when you are on auto mode.
*
auto sux big time when u're in a reallt "mix" up area, phone will heat up, battery will drain as all those RF switching is just pain in the a**... shakehead.gif

may I know for those already rooted, which kernel is recommended ? mind to share or it's prohibited here?

Red Pill and Perseus is my choice as both supported the exfat (when u have 64gb microsd, u don't have any other FS to be use) icon_rolleyes.gif

but lately they included NTFS support... not yet try it as it will force me to reformat all those transferred items... sweat.gif

The battery drain even faster when you keep switching between 2g and 3g network I notice. Like maxis in city most h+ I notice its even better battery life than in 2g
*
yup, that's what I've try to say above... those RF switching is the batt killer and most of device even HANG during all those switching and causing the phone to heat up and act weird... shakehead.gif
