But i like BOND currently building my portfolio, when got cheap sale only switch to equity fund. Except PRS.

What i believe ASEAN now hot spot for Foreign FUND, anything will goreng up ASEAN stock for atleast 1-3 years.

My main focus at BOND and some to Reits or Highly yield dividend stock.

Hehe, actually i have studied some, most of the funds i mentioned are almost at its historical high price. I am not sure about that, is it good time to invest for Asian funds (eg. Asia Quantum) instead of others? What did you buy? I have select balanced fund only so far

Somebody has been keep repeating that NAV is not really critical as unit trust is not similar to shares.

This has been explained in FSM and PM threads.

Dividend gains from UT is taxable? If yes, it's part of income? How about capital gains?
*
Dividend is generally taxable at 25% rate. You'll get the tax voucher for this.

In BE form, you should have to fill the HK3 section.

Capital gain is not subject to tax.

What does that mean? Claim dividend tax as refund? We really need to pay 25% tax on dividends?
*
If your current tax bracket doesn't exceed 25%, then you may claim back the difference.

If yours is above 25%, you can close an eye but it's encouraged to report the source income if the amount is significant. That means you may have to fork money for additional tax incurred for tax bracket above 25%.

What else can investors look into to minimize the very painful upfront sales charge load for funds not listed in FSM? I'm assuming that we need to go back to the respective agents to get a dib of these funds  sad.gif

E.g. Public Mutual Funds must be purchased from Public Mutual, CIMB Dali from CWA since they are not listed on FSM.
*
Alternative is too look for relatively similar fund with similar objective from other fund houses in FSM.

u shud ask this at Stock Exchange section

CDS account opening is free AFAIK. And what exit fee? CDS is for stock trading rclxub.gif
*
I meant what is referring to is transaction fee: brokerage fee + stamp duty + clearing fee

Each buy and sell transaction will have them.

Only brokerage fee is investment bank dependent. The rest is fixed.

The basic point is to cover SC once SC is covered. You can sell anytime. Just an ROI objective for that particular fund.

If that particular fund is performing extremely well, it can reach the desired ROI within 1 year or lesser.
