QUOTE(PedangGila @ Dec 22 2013, 07:44 AM) Am waiting for my 5600BB from Gpeople. I've seen some Casio watches are made here in Malaysia, but I never encountered any G-Shocks with "Made in Malaysia" engraved at the back cover ![]() One thing though, if this watch is in other place rather than China then I'll be on alarm because as far as I know (seen from pictures) all 5600BBs are made in China. But who knows since they got even a Made in Malaysia 5600s. |

QUOTE(lokgotz @ Dec 23 2013, 10:41 AM) Made in Malaysia G-Shock? I have one. It's the DW-8300 Stargate. I bought this for RM240 at least 15 years back at a Marco warehouse sale. I thought I lost it but bumped into it a few months ago when I was going through my boxes. Revived it with a new battery and it's working like new. The condition is pretty bad though. cool! ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(syw @ Feb 26 2014, 08:56 PM) Just got this. This is my first 6900 series. Don't have this color yet. And lastly the stars at bottom right of the watch that made me took it. This model is a huge one. And in this color it looks much larger. what you have there comes from the GD-X6900 series, which is slightly bigger than the regular 6900 (DW-6900, G-6900)[attachmentid=3870105] This post has been edited by rihuhs: Mar 1 2014, 01:45 AM |

need some advice from the pros. (TL;DR alert)
does the module case for the DW-6900 the same one with the DW-6600? or in another way of saying it, will a 6600 module fit in the 6900 case? I have a 11 years old DW-6600 and after much abuse, the screw holes for the metal cover/beeper on the back of the case itself has given up, becoming loose and causing me to lose 2 screws. that have rendered my DW-6600 no longer water resistant, and not to mention that I have also lost the rubber gasket that seals the back cover. I've spent a few years already trying to look for the module case so that I can revive back my 6600 but all goes to a dead end. even Marco Corporation unable to help since 6600 was out of production for too long, and they say the only thing that is still available are the bezel and straps, mainly cuz it's the same with DW-6900/G-6900 which is still being produced. however, my recent Google session encountered this picture below; which is a completely dismantled DW-6900 and the module case looks very similar to that of 6600. all these years I thought the three-eyed face is a part of the case but instead it's a part of the module ![]() |

QUOTE(Revamperz @ Jul 10 2014, 01:23 AM) to dismantle the module .. now that another level that's what I've been doing now, only that it's just a cheap Daiso case lol i personally think it time to get that DW-6600 in some nice case and set her down to rest as display just like my G-2110 , the resin are all chewy allover but the module is still going strong n i dun wan it to completely destroy she's 13 but I'm still looking forward to revive it and going back on wearing it |
