BTW, the games that I'm about to play are FC3, BO2, Borderlands 2, MOH: Warfighter and Crysis 3(soon). Casing is CM Enforcer not corsair. Sorry about that.

You need a GPU of at least amd HD7770 or above for the highest setting of dota2. Or consider chocobo suggestion for a sapphire 6850.

Mobo - u dont really need z77 since u cant overclock the cpu u have currently, unless u want to make SLI/CFX later on.
RAM - normal will do.
GPU - MSI gtx670 PE
PSU - Both are good, get a gold series for better efficiency and lower noise level.
CPU Cooler - Corsair H100/H80 performs very similar to H100i or H80i. only different is the glowing effect. Most ppl wont recommend corsair cooler since they are overpriced in Malaysia.
Other upgrade option maybe SSD.

need help my fren want to upgrade his rig

here's the specs:
i3 2100
h61m
and cm elite 431
others stuff will be reuse.
no ssd please

mainly for light gaming and downloading
no oc involve
budget 1.2k

Personally prefer seagate brand. 7200rpm speed is good to go.

what spec can i get?

cpu : amd am2/am3
gpu: cheap
psu: enough for gpu and 6 or more hdd..
going to on 24 hour whole year..
casing: enough space for whole thing and cold enough....
purpose: for storage only..
budget: 400-700
