Thanks bro, and since I'm not gaming currently and not in near future, can I just leave GPU blank and use Intel HD Graphic 4000 for normal day usage?

And I've decided with that case and it's fantastic in design and space saving.
*
Yes, can leave it blank for future expansion.

Finding Silverstone SG05-450 casing.
Idealtech has no stock.
Anyone has better idea on where can I get this casing?
Or better valuable alternative ?
Please refer to my earlier post on my proposed rig spec ^.^
Thanks!

Thanks for all who have helped me through the casing selection!
I might sounds too wordy but this is the first custom pc I want to build so I choose a case very carefully.
After reviewed many cases and third party reviews, I found that I choose:

BITFENIX PRODIGY!

Now can please anyone suggest who or where shall I buy from?
*
A.P.E.S or CyntrixTech and previous seller have it.

QUOTE(__unknown__ @ Dec 14 2012, 12:07 PM)
Nice rigs. However bare with me as I not a tech-sawy guy and have some questions and I'd never tried building one myself.

1) Say I'm interested in 1 of the rigs so do i just slap the list to lowyat vendors for quotations and they'll build up for me? Or I've to pick up each component separate and build it up like a LEGO?

2) Is it me or i just dont notice any sound cards in the rigs? (Maybe i just cant differentiate which component is sound card?

3) Also I'm assuming chassis as well as OS is seperated from the list as well?

I'm looking forward in building  a gaming + sound blasting desktop(got a altec lensing wolfer for that biggrin.gif ) and would appreciate if anyone could advise me on the questions above!
*
1) Yes, if they have stock of course.
2) Mobo have built-in sound card.
3) No, case and OS should be included is you need it. That why read the first page to know the format.

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Dec 14 2012, 12:53 PM)
So can i just bring this list n they can assemble it for me..?
*
Yes, if they have stock of course.

- Microsoft Office (YES)
- Windows 7 64 bit (YES)
- Processor i5 3rd Gen such as i5 3450,i5 3470 or better
- Nvidia GC lowest rank
- 4GB ram or more
- SSD
- Wheel mouse
- 24"inch LCD (better get LED screen)

QUOTE(@udio_jr @ Dec 15 2012, 09:53 AM)
Hey guys, would like to seek some advices/opinions here. My friend is asking me to suggest a rig to him for work, entertainment and some light gaming. Below are the specs that i have in mind base on Viewnet's price list.

CPU: i5 3470 - RM564 / i3 3220 - RM349
Motherboard: Gigabyte B75M-D3V - RM224
Memory: Kingston DDR3 4GB - RM60
GPU: Sapphire 6850 1GB - RM349 / Sapphire 7770 1GB - RM399
Hardi Disk: Western Digital Blue 1TB - RM214
PSU: Silverstone Strider 500W - RM219
Optical Drive: Liteon - RM60
Casing: Cooler Master range - budget RM150
Monitor: Dell ST2320L - RM469
Input Devices: MS Wireless Desktop - RM85

Total: RM2394 (i5) / RM2179 (i3)

Is this built okay? Here's some of my concerns.
(i) Is the i3 3220 sufficient for normal work usage, cause he may be using applications like autocad and photoshop, or the i5 is the way to go?
(ii) On GPU, if just for light gaming purposes, should I just stick with the old generation 6850 or the newer 7770? Based on benchmarks the 6850 is generally better than the 7770 and the price is lower as well. Is the 6850 a good choice here?
(iii) Is there any cheaper PSU recommendations based on Viewnet's price list with relative good performance?

Would like to keep the price as low as possible as well, if possible within RM2.4k. Comments/advices are appreciated. Thanks.
*
Can replace several part; mobo MSI B75MA-P45 RM229 (more RAM slot), PSU fsp hexa 500w RM150, Monitor LG IPS224T RM419. i5 should handle future work as well.

Thanks for the suggestions, msi should be the better choice. On the psu, is it available in viewnet? Didn't saw it in the price list.
*
Many on this forum get the hexa PSU from viewnet so it should be available.

After much reading, I'm stuck between the choice of a Sapphire 7950 which costs ~RM1000 and the Gigabyte 670 which costs ~RM1500. Huge difference, i know. What do you guys think about it? Is it worth paying that extra RM500 for the 670? My main concern right now is achieving a stable ~30fps @ 1920x1080 on highest/almost-highest settings on games such as Far Cry 3 and Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite in the near future. Thoughts? Excuse any hint of arrogance as I have minimal knowledge when it comes to hardware.
*
Leadtek GTX 670 cost RM1149 from Viewnet price list.

Not to spoil your mood but Intel have far exceed AMD in procs department. Its really your choice. http://www.techspot.com/review/615-far-cry...ance/page6.html

I try to reduce the mobo price featuring both X16 slot dual run at 8x and the selection are Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0, ASrock 990FX Extreme3 and MSI 990FXA-GD80 where the ASrock and MSI i cannot confirm if they can run at 8x in CF-X/SLI mode

That way you should have RM1000+- left and pick HD7870 or GTX 660 ti.

why? the price is so expensive than GTX and it's not good for gaming?  hmm.gif

Of course, cuz it designed, optimized and built for those 3d software use. Only top level Quarto can give reasonable FPS in game.

Yeah, you could do that if Asrock B75M-DGS mainboard RM189 available. Else MSI B75M-P45 RM 229. You already have monitor right?

Have you put mobo spacer? Use direct plug, not extension?
