Hi guys, dono how to choose between these 2 corsair fan model :

SP120 (quiet)
AF120 (quiet)

Will be using as exhaust fan.

Please help thanks.

I'll go for AF120 (Airflow).
SP120 (Static Pressure) more suitable for heatsink / radiator. But it still your choice...no problem to use the other way around for casing fan.

guys.. help...
currently using corsair 230t and on negative airflow (2xfront in, 1xbottom in, 1xback and 1x top out). notice quite alot of dust accumulate near the cooler.
now thinking to change the fans on top to 2 static pressure fans as in flow (140mm) and 2 front in flow SP fans too (120mm) to make it into positive airflow.

any suggestions?

was looking at CM jetflo specs (heard a lot of good things about this fan), on 12v, it produces 90+ air flow. what about when connecting 5v adapter?? how's the airflow? prefer a silent pc.

erm.. assuming that the fans are all the same type inside your chassis, it's a positive flow... instead of buying fans, I suggest removing the bottom intake and see if that's any better....

Jetflo fans are not quiet..... go for something like the Noctua or Noiseblockers wink.gif especially for the CPU coolers

what is the largest diameter pc case fan that i can get in Malaysia?
*
230mm wink.gif BitFenix has them..

not too sure of NZXT and CM storm...200mm for sure but 230mm have to ask

nobody using Xigmatek (XLF series) for case fans? I prefer xigmatek because of low price but decent performance (noise vs cfm).

Most of us will get the Artic F12 but Corsair, BitFenix, Noiseblockers, Silent wings are a few that have very good quiet fans
Sidepanel fans will be much louder than the ones mounted on the actual frame of a chassis because the panel is not as solid in comparison so vibrations from fans mounted on them will be noisy, that is why I myself never have any fans mounted at the side panels even though there are mounting holes for them

and CM xtraflo have a few models with variable speeds so don't expect them to be quiet when they're at full speed, the 19DBA rating may have been over exaggerated like their sickleflow previously as well

Thickness is 25mm. He's got 38mm too brows.gif . I think it's obviously more louder than Noctua plus it use ball bearing. sweat.gif

check this out.. not sure in stock or not.. HERE & HERE

Btw, i just bought 2 cooler master jetflo fans.. very nicely build fans and for me, not noisy at all even at 7v. one problem is, when i put a filter in front of it, the airflow is totally nil. no air blowing straught out after putting on filter. wonder why... rclxub.gif

ya, put a silverstone stick on filter for intake fans to filter the dust. not sure its jetflo design or what, even after putting on my front case bezel without silverstone filters, the airflow is very minimal compared to other fans. previously using arctic cooling fans. hmm.gif

I'm thinking about getting a Cooler Master N200 and sticking a Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition as the front intake fan, coupling that with a Silverstone FF123 fan filter (any alternatives?). Only problem is that it has LEDs and I do not want my computer lighting up like a Christmas tree. What other choices do I have? Looking for something that's also quiet and in the same price range (lower price range accepted too of course).

I just double checked the website and you're correct doh.gif Based off the YouTube videos I was watching, I thought they killed off the non LED series (along with removing the rubberised edges). Pardon me for not checking properly.

I seem to be out of luck with the sellers though. IdealTech and lingloong have the non LED AF120 Quiet Edition, but only as a twin pack sweat.gif the more the merrier I guess!

Guys, recently I purchased Corsair 350D, now thinking about putting some fans at front bay..I am looking for 140mm fans, the obvious choice is Corsair AF140, but any other suggestions?I want red coloured one, either LED or non LED to suit my black/red theme build..

And one more thing, I believe Corsair 350D front intake is quite restricted, so am I better off with static pressure fan, or normal airflow fan should do it?

Thanks..

hey guys ive been asking this for quite awhile and so far there is no definite answer sweat.gif

which would be better?

3x120mm or 2x140mm?

theoretically, 140mm push more air, but have lower static pressure.. while 120 have higher static pressure but lower CFM

any ideas?
