a filter is needed if you wish to reduce dust intake, since your case will be placed on the floor. sweat.gif

not sure about the pricing, but here's your place to go:
http://www.lasercut.com.my/index.php

a small cut won't cost you Rm100 i think?
can try to ask them the pricing maybe.

well, you can ask the price 1st, if it's okay then you can consider to go for it.
unless you're an expert in cutting metal stuffs, I tried to cut my old ayam case once, never again i will do it again. doh.gif

haha well it's limited what changing fans can do to help, but expelling the hot air faster should be your priority so a higher CFM fan will help in a way.. the silencio series isn't one for airflow is another downside tongue.gif else you may wanna consider the Artic Accelero Hybrid for your GPU... which will cost a bomb

Ok so I swapped the fans and did some cleanup of my cables... and in my excitement forgot to take "before" measurements sweat.gif

I compared the difference between running fan at 800rpm and 1400rpm, at 40% GPU load. The GPU temp lowered from 59C to 56C, and GPU fan lowered from 1800rpm to 1600rpm.

I also learned that the Gigabyte mobo I have is terrible for controlling PWM fans, so I resorted to using SpeedFan.

that's quite an improvement actually, maybe not so much on temps but noise levels must be down quite a lot already I think? hmm.gif at 1400rpm the F12 should be fairly quiet

Hi Expert Bros!

I've just bought a CM HAF XB casing (completely fell in love with it) and installed Maximus 6 Hero, 4670k i5, Asus R9 280x DCU II GPU...

It's my first time DIY and self taught from YouTube videos and reading magazines. What I need to understand is have anyone here moderately mod this casing and successfully made an absolute cooling setup.

Currently I'm using Seidon 240 with 2xPush Gentle Typhoon 120mm with rear casing stock Seidon fans (since its there so just bolt on and use) ...2x Noctua RF 8 80mm silent casing fans for under carriage exhaust.

Core temp at 34 c but 26c with air con condition
Mobo temp at 30c but 22c with air con

Are these good temps? I only could fit one side of the seidon as push pull configuration as the other side...well the Asus R9 280x is too long to fit another pull.

So i was fulling around with it by installing a Noctua NF-F14 140mm to see if I could boost the CFM that is written on the box is 115.2

What I'm trying to figure out is ...am I doing the right thing? Oh...The top cover is the window type not the mesh with 200mm fan type.

Pls help! happy.gif

Saw it in Viewnet sometime back, but they haven't brought back the AP series since it ran out of stock... maybe getting from ebay?

Temps seems normal to me, no cause to worry, so long as you have air movement flowing in from one direction and complement the exhaust in the same direction your fan setup is just fine regardless of how many exhaust you have as that's the most optimal... unless you mod the chassis

adding a high CFM fan will help in a way but don't expect much drop from the temps
