I m new to this "Android smart TV box", google it and it bring me to here.....

Just read and finish his post then i direct order on Wednesday nite and got my item this morning.
Maybe i will find cheaper if i can google again...but his professional services is TOP condition...so i no need to worry if i buy wrong product or i m new to this...i believe he can provide the good support after sales.

what's the different between Q5 and Q6 ? You have Q6 ready stock ?

Q6 come with gigabit network port and different casing material. But is has less one USB port, only two compare to 3 USB in Q5. For my personal view, USB port is more important than the gigabit LAN port because the network bottleneck is the Internet not the LAN.

Sorry bro, the release of Q5II is unknown yet, Himedia postpone from July to August until now still no date yet.

Sorry for the late response bro because I wish to hear positive response from others.

It is not easy to custom the firmware for Q5 because the important apps such as Himedia Player, Hicontrol and Hishare, HiNavi, LiveTV are developed by Himedia. If port over to custom firmware, all the Himedia features will be gone including the IR remote control, DTS license and other audio/video decoding.

Let's wait for Q5II which is running Android 4.2, I will test to install the Q5II firmware on Q5 to see whether it works :-)

Hi, does this media player upscale from 720p to 1080p? Or true 1080p? I heard most android based media player does this.

Thank you for inquiry bro. You have the option to choose 720p or 1080p to play the media, the player do not need to upscale, just output to your TV if your TV support 1080p. If you TV is not full HD 1080p, it will display nothing on your TV.

The different of Himedia with other manufacturer is Himedia has been long experience from the traditional Media Player until today Android player, I have no doubt about HiMedia in term of audio and video quality. You may Google more about Himedia history.
