If you experience your PopCorn Time always run between 10-20KB/s, pls take note of the below :

1). Please choose 720p instead of 1080p. Typical 720p movies required 150KB/s, below that will cause POPcorn hang.

i think unlikely q5ii will play 1080p or any video >1gb at all, even with 500mb memory available -  message memory not big enough always pop out.

looks to me it takes 1 for 1, i.e. for 2gb video, it will need 2gb memory available to play. need to strip apps to bare, possible?

q5iii with bigger memory shud work, just like q16.

can't we point the cache folder to other usb memory stick ? will it help ?

i tried. yes, it takes out the lack of memory problem.
but... loading too slow. even when loaded, doesn't play properly, lag...
even on q16, using usb drive for cache gave same results, no good.
problem looks like usb connection or hdd too slow.

but... maybe it will work with an sdcard plugged in.
perhaps nicety can test it - if it works, can buy an sdcard!

I'm using a sdcard it solve the memory problem, but then 1080p still slow maybe is internet 10mb not enough

As per Himedia announcement mentioned in earlier thread, HitV service is shutdown but not blocked. MangoTV is the replacement app by Himedia.

There is always new apps available when the old apps is blocked, the most important is share your findings when you discover new available apps.

Please feel free to test 装机必备 and share your findings. Positive sharing that benefit all are always welcome.

yes, we all miss hitv which was easy to use, some good stuff. but, no more.

there r alternatives, just need to find app versions, install and update when necessary.

i hv tried quite a few. unless using vpn, some of them do not work well, no use.

.. moretv, vst, togic all big good apps, but do not work well
.. pptv works well but stuff inside r a little old
.. mango has good stuff, but sensitive to connections, lag a bit

.. justseries.tv is browser based. i find to slow and hard to navigate to get to anything, a lot of old stuff.

Goto Setting - apps - xbmc - clear data and clear cache, then reinstall your add-on again.

for those who use wifi to connect their Himedia box to internet, you might want to download Ezunlock from Google Play (no need for root). it's supposed to connect to China DNS and will unblock all those movie apps.
