Thank for the info, I connected to the internet can watch PPS n XMBC Al Jazeera without any problem.
Hi Control N Hi Share work with Asus Transformer Tablets but cannot linked with Samsung Galaxy 5 GT-I5503 H/Phone.
AirPlay link without any problem.

@konakok, if not mistaken GT-I5503 is running Android 2.1 which is not supported by HiControl and HiShare.

Got my Q5 from nicety. Indeed a very nice guy smile.gif and helpful too!

Still playing around with the device. First time on an Android.
Any way to add more channel? I can see now in Live TV with channels from China.

I wish I could ditch my Astro too.

Thank you bro for the feedback. The TV channel from China is free. Due to license infringement, not all the channels could be added freely. But you could explorer few apps as shared by the buyers in the thread which contain other US/Korea channel. If you could read Chinese character, there are more TV Dramas available for the apps such as PPS. Please PM me if you need any helps :-) Alternatively you could downlaod/bittorrent movies from the net and play it offline.

Yep, will go through the entire thread. However, I can't seem to launch XBMC. It auto closes itself. Will try to re-install using the steps shared in previous post. smile.gif

Hello bro,

Your XBMC has been preinstalled and tested. Maybe just restart the box first before reinstall. As mentioned by Natzakaria, pls down load none neon version if reinstall.

Thank you fir inquiry bro. Yes, you can remove HiMedia launcher from the setup->Apps->HiMedia Launcher->Remove Default. Then you can install any Android launcher such as GO LAUNCHER.

It is exactly the same as the Android Phone including Theme and Widget, the only different is you do not need to pay thousand ringgits to have the Android Platform at home. Pls refer to the setup instruction video in my thread to have better understanding of the device.

Hi,

It's working now. smile.gif

Anyway, is it normal that it can't play TVB Jade channel on LiveTV? It always jump to the next channel. It was updated to the latest version and rebooted the device.

Gong Xi Fa Chai bro.
Watch TVB from PPS which is more stable than Live TV due to it consumed more bandwidth. Your problem seems due to bandwidth.

Sometimes when playing video, the video player not responding.
The video still playing but you can't pause, adjust volume or anything.
Few seconds later a message appear saying the video player not responding with option to wait or close video player.

Anyone having the same issue or solutions?

When play video, the player is busy decoding the video from the data source, if would like to adjust the volume just press -ve volume from the remote control bundled by Q5. If you using mouse and continuous a few click then the Android will prompt "Wait" or "Close". Actually this is not a problem, but the CPU was busy decoding your movies and not able to response to you promptly, just wait a seconds.

Yes, I'm using the Q5 remote control to adjust volume.
The program simply too busy to respond to my command. This is annoying when when the video suddenly have loud sound or when I want to fast forward. But it doesn't happen all the time. When its happen the best solution is to restart the machine.

The problem doesn't appear when using MX Player. And MX Player can even load the video faster than the default video player. But the advantage of using default media player is that you can change subtitle and audio from the remote control.

And just want to share this link: HiMedia Q5 support where you can download firmware for Q5. There's also guide how to update firmware.

Thank you for the link bro, just paste the link in the FAQ of the thread :-)

Instead of restart, maybe you can try task killer apps to kill unnecessary task and free the RAM space.
