Added on November 26, 2012, 11:31 amOur stock rims is really terrible, just one very thin layer of silver (not sure is aluminium or not) cover on top only, and is very very easy get scratch or tear off.

My tyre kena screw last week, so go tyre shop, take out the tyre and patch it from inside. When reach home, notice a deep scratch on the rim.

Same goes to last month when rotate the tyre also get few scratch on the rims.

The scratch condition is worse than my Wira stock rims, after the usage of 15 years.  doh.gif

Truth be told, I find the stock alloy rims for the Persona pretty good looking.

Same for me. Press very hard at high speed it won't lock, just a short squeak when the car comes to a complete stop. But it's a different story when the road is wet. My wheel locks like there's no tomorrow. Continental CC-1 is shit in the wet.

Osram night breaker plus and philip xtreemvision which one better to change and n brighter?
*
I'm currently using Osram NBP. Not sure how it compares to Philips XV, but it's definitely much brighter than the stock bulbs and has a much longer range as well. At RM80 it's a good deal.

Slightly whiter than stock bulbs, but still the standard yellowish color. No one will notice that you have changed your bulbs biggrin.gif.

Very easy. The hardest part is to navigate around the right lamp area if you've fat hands.

Don't pull the plug out straight, but squeeze it from the side then pull. Inside there's a metal retainer, just push that in and work it until it unlocks, then pull the bulb out. As easy as that. biggrin.gif

Is this filter like the stock or with carbon?
*
Stock is a washable mesh filter for all Personas I believe. This is not washable.

hmm.gif. Why do you guys seem to have a lot of issues with the rubber seals?

When I have enough money to soundproof the doors after doing the rest of the car, I'll probably be taking the rubber seals off except for the P shaped. They definitely make the door harder to close, but closing sound wise it really improves a lot especially for the rear doors.

shakehead.gif Without the damn coating and washing it myself, my car already shining lah.
If you want it to be damn clean and shining then send to outside wash and detail first lo before apply the coating.
*
I thought the coating would cover the paint as it is, meaning that if there are plenty of swirl marks on your car it won't hide them away. hmm.gif And that's why they send their car for proper claying, polishing and then the coating before waxing. hmm.gif.

Yeah, I know Permanon is not for hiding swirls, which is why people send their car for polishing to remove it. Swirl marks are seriously ugly under the sun.
