which model TL-MR3420 u are using ? V1 ? V1.3 ? or V2 ?

have u upgrade to latest firmware ?

u can try to download E372 modem bin file and put it on the Web Gui -> 3G -> modem setting.

it will help your router to recognize your E372  notworthy.gif

any idea where to find the bin files? none on the tp-link website.. looking for e398/k5005 bin for V2..

Plug and play don't works?
*
i tried k5005 on V1.. plug n play doesnt detect modem.. i went to find on a german website (use google translate) to download the bin file.. and it works fine.. but needs to wait 3 mins before it gets connected to the internet.. the same goes when I use V2 router.. doesnt detect.. and upload the same bin file, then it works.. still, have to wait 3 mins before it connects to the internet..

not sure about e398..

can't find K5005 bin file though, only below:

HUawei E398 bin file
TL-MR3420/TL-MR3220/TL-MR3020  Finland  Not ISP Specific  HUAWEI  E398  Download

for K5005, u can try to use USB Sniffer tools to create bin file for it,. try and see whether it works  notworthy.gif

thanks chuahcs! i'll just wait for e398.. not gona use k5005 cos took too much time to connect to the internet..

the bin file only 413 bytes..? ohmy.gif

New Combo ( which working best )

Panel Antenna -> TS-9 convertor -> ZTZE MF680 -> TL-MR3420 V1 ( Openwrt / wifi off )-> Lan cable -> TL-MR3420 V2 ( tp link stock firmware ) -> Wireless -> laptop ( window xp )
end result stable speed 1.7~1.79MB/s with super Lowest ping ever
( normally when heavy DL running in IDM my ping is 300~500ms )

Before only single router , look at the ping
[attachmentid=3165709]

After using best combo , look at the ping
[attachmentid=3165704]

Panel Antenna -> TS-9 convertor -> ZTZE MF680 -> TL-MR3420 V1 ( Openwrt / wifi off )

how do u connect those..? modem onto V1..? not onto V2?

care to explain this part for me? --> ((Panel Antenna -> TS-9 convertor))

well if u want faster detect, then u can try to flash openwrt into your V1 and see whether your K5005 will auto detect and connect faster than 3 min or not,.

from what i know, openwrt definitely dial and connect faster for sure  hmm.gif
*
all right thanks bro! will try later tonite if have time.. need to learn how to do openwrt first tho tongue.gif

i guess i knoe the reason why now  biggrin.gif

i reset my pc , it is okay now

i was  using this MR3420 V1 to LAN out to TD8968 , I guess there was a conflict with 192.168.1.1 as both shared the same  log in IP........

I have used MR3420 with MR3420 V2 , no conflict as V1 is 192.168.1.1 and V2 192.168.0.1

but these 2 MR3420 V1 and TD8968 shared the same IP  doh.gif

even Mr3420 V1 or V2 dun conflict with HW550 cause HW550 IP is 192.168.2.1
*
HW550.. its time for u to try using triple router! tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

For user who using v2, don't upgrade to latest newest firmware on tplink websites. That latest firmware is super duper buggy. So bug until the web gui haywire and not able to dial connection to e372 modem. I finally flash it back to original version firmware and now it worked fast good like it should
*
so dont use the latest one? means use the one before it? 120905 is the latest.. so use the 120703 instead? PM me how to flash please thanks.. newbie here notworthy.gif

For v2 just use the original firmware more stable, faster connection with e398. But u can revert to original shipping firmware if u did upgrade.
*
how to get original firmware? just do factory reset?
