what happen ? your V2 death ?

does lightning hit your antenna and travel to your V2 ? i am wondering how it happen though

in this case, u always can try to make a claim on it though

dont need to mention anything,.

just pass it to them and say it suddenly didnt work anymore,

do u have old V1 or V1.3 ? if u have, try to swap the power plug adapter and use it to test whether your V2 can power on with V1 power plug ?

if dont have, then direct claim warranty, just mention when u wake up and it dont work anymore

just a thought that if u have spare power plug, can try to plug in and power on,.

to see whether is power plug fried or router fried..

bring along both to claim warranty,

when they ask, just tell me your router decide not to works next morning,..

i open my panel and take photo before,

zero electronic component inside,

just open yours and see

if just for that, can get used unit to auto ping
there is some selling used unit,

auto ping goole in computer with CMD ( command prompt ) is as photo below

so if u are using Openwrt COmpatible Router,
u can set this Auto ping in router itself, to ping google every second,

so your connection will be active at all time and it wont be IDLE

if u are using those router not support openwrt, then u have to set this auto ping in your computer,

go to CMD -> type in : ping 8.8.8.8 -t -> enter

or go to Notepad -> type in : ping 8.8.8.8 -t -> Save As -> Ping google.bat -> open the ping google.bat you save

currently i am using

Panel antenna -> TS-9 (convertor ) -> ZTE MF680 -> V1 ( openwrt ) -> lan out ( yellow lan port ) -> V2 blue color wan port ( stock firmware set under web gui network = wan only ) -> lan out ( yellow color lan port ) -> PC/laptop Lan port


your case

usb modem -> V2 Off wifi ( stock firmware ) -> lan out ( yellow lan port ) -> V1 blue color wan port ( openwrt set under web gui network = DHCP protocol ) -> lan out ( yellow color lan port ) -> PC/laptop Lan port


due to

V1 = 192.168.1.1
V2 = 192.168.0.1

so both can combine,.u can open web gui for both , as long as second router is set to WAN only ( in stock firmware ) or DHCP protocol ( under openwrt )

just make sure u off the wifi on the router u are using to dial your usb modem,

use the second router for lan / wifi out

and v1 will work better with wifi or lan alone,..

it is like 1 processor with 2 core compare with 1 processor with single core theory

if the cpu of router loading very busy, it wont be good for the 3G dialing or wifi either one

better get aztech brand,

model wise 200Mbps would be enough,

unless u have higher budget then get 500Mbps noise filer type
