QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Nov 19 2012, 09:46 AM) Reporting in. Who's using sky high now? How's it? yes, flashed mine to SkyHigh during the weekend. It is basically stock rom with Samsung bloatware removable (up to you to keep or remove them) with some standard custom rom must-haves - percentage battery mod, Screen off TV animation, etc. So far very happy with it.

QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Nov 19 2012, 02:39 PM) which version are you using now? 3.0? 3.5 is coming out soon, right? yes, V3. wow... din know 3.5 is coming. Btw, anyone try swapping external memory to become internal memory? The only such Mod thread at XDA Tab 7.7 Dev Forum does not work well on stock ROM, haven't try on the new SkyHigh ROM yet. Since Sky High has Init.d script support, i think it should be ok to use a universal swapping method.

QUOTE(benji @ Nov 20 2012, 10:36 AM) oic.. so what to do ya? can guide? or link that i can read you already can do root, should not be novice already. But what OTA update you need really? Or just want to update for the sake of update? Anyway, you can go sammobile.com and register a free account. Thereafter can download the official ICS ROM from there and flashed with PC Odin. You will lose root after flashing, just do the rooting again will do. But i am not sure whether flashing via PC Odin will wipe clean your phone, so you better backup.

QUOTE(matsuru @ Nov 20 2012, 12:15 PM) cynox, When u install SKyhigh, how long you need to wait on the Aroma "Please Wait..." screen?? My tab hang after tweaking with pimo my rom and supercharger, on Austria LQ1. Thinking of changing to Skyhigh. Odin flashed Austria to copy Skyhigh rom into the internal SD then flash Skyhigh to factory reset. Now, still waiting for the Aroma "Please wait..." screen... about 10 mins de.... Added on November 20, 2012, 12:16 pmoh wait... wanted to reset to CWM by pressing the power button, suddenly it is installing...... wow... that was way too long. It just takes mine a split second to go into the Aroma Installation. Maybe because I was on LP9 Malaysia ICS stock rom. Skyhigh is built on LP8 SEA ROM. I did not do any wipe - just flashed Skyhigh 3.0 on top of stock LP9 Malaysia ICS rom. Thereafter also flashed 3.5 without wiping anything, not even cache and dalvik.

QUOTE(benji @ Nov 20 2012, 02:15 PM) rooting this tab 7.7 easy.. download root file, copy, restart in recovery, update from there, i read from first post .. hehehe.. actually was hoping the update will improve wifi connection.. other question : i saw learning hub apps in my wife gnote2.. in tab doesnt have.. maybe after update got that? I can't really remember whether there is a learning hub in the lastest LP9 rom. Note II is on JB rom, so cannot assume that after the update in Tab 7.7, you will get that hub, unless of course if we do get official JB rom, then might have chance to have it. Any good thing about the learning hub? I removed all of those "Hubs" from my Note II.

QUOTE(ocz @ Nov 25 2012, 02:00 AM) How is it compare to stock rom? which is better? i was on Skyhigh 30 minutes ago, then now trying PA2.55 as given by edan's link. i prefer skyhigh for the option to remove Samsung bloatware. For performance and smoothness - can't notice any difference with stock ICS. Tried few version of PA but it has the annoying wifi bug on my Tab. So at the end give up and by that time Skyhigh is available. This post has been edited by Cynox: Nov 25 2012, 08:55 AM

QUOTE(Dothan @ Nov 26 2012, 09:21 AM) I was in US when Google launches the Music beta service. By changing my address to US one, got invited to join the beta. After officially launched, I changed back to my home address and it still allows me to upload music to its cloud storage. Now, I am pretty much enjoying the streaming my fav musics from any android devices (and also iOS). You are allowed to store up to 20,000 songs (regardless the storage) and you may download them into your pc as well. Added on November 26, 2012, 9:23 amBro, you need a valid US address to get the service. where to input the "valid US address"? at wallet? Need to be verified or not? I can't seems to find place to add address to my google account.

QUOTE(jhonsonlee @ Nov 27 2012, 08:05 PM) Would keen to have some opinion, is it still worth to get G.TAB7.7 or get the Nexus 7. G.TAB 7.7 older hardware and OS. get both. I have the Tab 7.7 currently and find its 16GB internal memory is quite limited to install those latest game with big chunk of data. There is a swap external memory to internal memory mod - i tried but find it not working well. I will pass it to my wife to watch online videos and get a new 32GB Nexus 7 as a mini game machine.

QUOTE(mellovicious @ Nov 30 2012, 05:01 PM) anyone tried 64gb micro sd on the 7.7? i heard its not supported? Uncle Benny is using it in his Tab 7.7 but need to format to FAT32 first. I tried to use once but the 64GB card (formatted to FAT32) got corrupted when i was transfer some files. Not very sure is compatible problem or card problem. Since then use a 32GB FAT32 card and no problem so far. Got the 64GB RMAed and got a new replacement though.

QUOTE(jun88 @ Dec 9 2012, 09:06 AM) Go to Task Manager and Close all the running program before power off.. why is Task Manager has anything to do with auto shut down? QUOTE(Mancunian13 @ Dec 8 2012, 12:30 AM) Anyone can answer this.? Why my mum's 7.7 always shut down by itself? Any solution? My mums in on stock rom ics. Normally it is more likely caused by rogue app (pirated apps) and maybe motherboard or battery problem. Try backup your data and do a factory reset to monitor. If problem persist, send it to Service Centre for checking.
