QUOTE(LemonCoke @ May 13 2013, 10:58 AM) Yes,mine is sme,but expired 1yr warranty adi.sim slot damaged due to use microsim adapter.as advice by them, never use the adapter. yes yes, i think mine also caused by the micro-SIM adaptor. Think ap set they fix too,as long u pay for cost.but lowyat sc renovation, they move to near acer sc lot.so need bout 7-10days to fix as they say need send to other sc repair. thanks (also to edan1979) for the head up that SME will service AP set if we pay. Coz i heard before some mention that SME will not service AP set even if you willing to pay for it. I am in JB, hope the JB service centre will accept it for repair. RM50 is reasonable. |

Or Samsung should put a warning label at the sim card slot "WARNING: ADAPTOR NOT ALLOWED!!!". anyway, very happy with the TAB with JB. |

QUOTE(lewmoker @ May 14 2013, 07:16 AM) hi guys Using PC Odin and follow with a factory reset is the best way to upgrade major hardware changes and start anew your brand new tablet. i try to update my 7.7 to JB OTA. its downloading the files and when installing got some error and it asked to use KIES to upgrade. i've downloaded KIES but my tab cannot get connected. any of you have this problem? billy, you sold it off too fast. But i would have sold it too if not becoz of the spoilt sim slot. |

QUOTE(knownuts @ May 15 2013, 02:32 PM) Didn't do a factory reset cos didn't want to have to reinstall all my apps. maybe factory reset your Dlink router or update its firmware if available. Tried using back my older tm riger modem n it works immediately !!! Strange that it just doesn't want to work with my Dlink modem anymore no matter what I reconfigure new ssid new encryption new password etc. |

QUOTE(buyei @ May 17 2013, 04:06 PM) upgraded to jb via otr, 2 major problem...cannot connect to secured wifi & explorer sometimes force stop/close...should i send to samsung service centre to reinstall jb? you can try flash via PC Odin again. If still have problem, follow with a factory reset. Even if you send it to Samsung service centre, they will do basically the same thing - flash the stock ROM and do a factory reset. For the wifi issue, i think it might be incompatible hardware. My Note II (stock ROM and any custom ROM) can connect to office wifi router but my colleague's Note II (with pure stock rom unrooted) cannot connect to the same wifi router. Factory reset for her also cannot solve. But it can connect to my Note II's hotspot. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ May 23 2013, 08:32 AM) I bought back a used tab7.7 for rm900 to test out the new JB rom. Was expecting some issues especially on wifi based on feedbacks here . I am pleasantly surprised at the improvements in JB n overall slicker n smoother than before. Absolutely zero wifi issues n have tested it too at several wifi hotspots in town. I rooted n install CWM on it in the day one I got it haha... yes, battery life is much much better with JB. I change the color setting to natural for all my samsung devices to reduce the colour saturation. Luckily your AP set is free of the wifi issue too. Two days on it already n yet to find any serious significant bugs in the JB rom. Battery life seems better than before too. Having used several other tablets after selling off my previous 7.7 the super amoled was indeed "ugly" n colors unrealistic compared with say Nexus7, Fonepad , ipad mini. Even my wife Note 10.1 colors doesn't look so fake Anyway color display is personal preference |

QUOTE(BodBoy @ Jun 5 2013, 01:35 PM) .. since the 4.1.2 upgrade the 7.7 uses alot of RAM .. . There is no way to add the ram. just leave the ram management to android will do. For Android, i think i heard before "Free RAM is wasted RAM" (something like that). So dun be concern with how much free ram you have, just enjoy your tab 7.7 with new lease of life. just curious is there and upgrade RAM option for this model .. of cache setting to free some ram .. |

QUOTE(patdidi @ Jun 24 2013, 09:11 AM) Anyone here had experience of this tablet unable to switch on? I already try to by pass the bootloader but still unable to do so. might be battery spoilt. My sis-in-law also used third party charger to charge her Note, within 1 month, the battery become bloated. So brought back to Samsung to claim warranty. Since 7.7 battery is irremovable, i think you have no choice but to send it back to service centre. The story are as follow; Last month my original tab 7.7 charger spoilt. Then I bought replacement at local shop which is an imitation charger with samsung logo (I have no choice). This charger charged very slow compare to original and works 'till last Friday. Last Friday I connect the charger while it was at 45% capacity (I didn't turn off the tablet) and after 2 hours I checked the battery gauge but the phone was already turned off by itself. I try to power it on but failed, So far the possible solution (from various sources) that I tried were: 1. Tried with different charger from tab 7.7, Note 2, s3 but all are not charging. I let it connected overnight and the charger are not warm at all. 2. Holding power button for more than 15 second (tried many combination with up & down button)-Nothing happens So I'm almost certain this is a hardware failure but I'm not sure which is. Any suggestion? I dun use any third party charger to charge my thousand worth or gadgets - only the original chargers are worthy for them. |

QUOTE(patdidi @ Jun 24 2013, 09:33 AM) Thanks, the imitation was my first purchase of non-ori charger as by the I was outstation and no shop selling the ori charger. I just want to place my order for ori note 2 charger from a seller here at low yat forum. But then its already too late. Is there any known method to verify that the battery was the fault in this case? i think the only way is to get a original charger to plug in for few hours. If still cannot power up, then there is really nothing you can do but to send to service centre, whether or not it is really the battery problem. |

QUOTE(edan1979 @ Jul 2 2013, 09:20 AM) sent in my Tab 7.7 to Samsung SC Johor Bahru just now. They know it is AP set but still accept the unit. But got a call 45 mins later while i am heading home, acknowledging the sim card slot problem but they scare while repairing the sim card slot, they might spoilt the motherboard, so confirm with me to go ahead or not coz they will not responsible if the motherboard spoilt. anyway, time to root and try eRobot. |

hi, edan1979, any major known bug of eRobot. Going to install it over the stock JB rom but still happy with stock ROM. If eRobot is not stable for daily use, will just skip it. Thanks.

QUOTE(signora bianca @ Oct 14 2013, 07:48 PM) dun ever use microSIM adaptor to use a microSIM in this tablet. It will stuck inside and if you forcefully dig it out, the sim card slot will be damaged. Quite a few of us damage it this way, some manage to get it repair for RM50 at SC at KL area. I am not so fortunate as the JB service centre dun want take the risk to service my AP set. |
