Thanks for all the feedback. Hope I can sway her attention to the almera. Will report back if I do finalise the deal and get the car. Fingers crossed

Finally found a buyer for my old car and looking at the Almera direction. Just me, my wife, maybe a kid in the future and occassionally sister in law and mother in law in the car. Have been thinking long and hard and i need a car with low FC. Hence im looking at the almera for the long run.

Wife is looking at the Alza S. Any more points i can use to convince her for the Almera besides the low FC?

Thanks. Such feedbacks sure helps me make the final decision. Looking at the V spec now. Do need the passenger airbag. Peace of mind for the long run.

I switched from alza to almera..

Alza fc to me ok la..RM 50 Kl-Kluang still got half plus minus ..almera a bit more than half.nearly 3 years owning it it served we upto 86k km.. rclxms.gif

Handling wise almera nicer.. alza i never drive more than 110km/h..feels mcm nk terbalik and terbang.

Alza maintenance ok price charged acceptable on my poket...i didnt have major issue except for loud sound coming out from the rear brake when braking n dusty front rims due to cheapo break pad from p2

Car seat almera better in terms of firmer and better support for my back than alza..gud for long drive.

Boot size and position alza better. I manage to ferry an 8 seater dining table from johor-kl biggrin.gif (bukak kaki meja n minus chairs)

alza carry 7 people Ipoh-penang still steady...genting also ok but i was on the left lane la...havent tried with almera..

If get V might as well add RM3k to VL, you will get keyless, push button, steering audio contorls, auto aircond etc.

I want to share this video of Almera low speed crash test so we can expect how much damage to pocket (what to fix) in light accident & most importantly know the weak point of our car.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmacNraxTS0&sns=fb

I found this very useful.

*Caution: Do not try this at home biggrin.gif

6 day after receiving my car, saw this on the right hand side passenger door. At first i thought its sticker or some sort. But after rubbing a bit, realised that its the whole piece of paint that flaked off.

WTF?

But according to a pro detailer, Nissan's paints are bit "soft", have to work it carefully. He made that comment when I was there asking for quotation.

Clear coat?
Erm, you help me determine.

1. Can feel a groove that drops in.
2. My car is grey. That is black background
3. No scratches beside or around it..

Should not be clear coat right?

Fair enough smile.gif I assume it's on the plastic parts? eg. bumper?

If the basecoat (paint) chips off at the metal parts, you should be able to see white-silverish color of the metal dy. THEN you really have to worry about rust rclxub.gif

Eh, then cannot be basecoat dy, should be clear coat hmm.gif

In any case, just get your SA to fix it la if possible. The chip is quite big, I wonder if they will re-spray / replace they whole door, or touch up only.
