QUOTE(Trevorel @ Jul 23 2013, 06:20 PM) Im noob in car stuffs, advise needed. I changed mine for around RM800, add on those bolts, the pump tyre head and the rings roughl around RM900++I have booked a almera lowest spec, and upgrade to sport rims @ rm800. And im thinking to change the sport rims at the accessories shop after i get the car, as there are plenty of choices instead of the nissan sport rims. Sifus, normally how much for a set of 15" rim? Do i need to change the tyres? (I not sure the tyre width etc) Or i can use the same tyres? get the original sport rims with RM800, or go for sport rims at accessories shop? Which one will u prefer? Thanks U can use back your old tyres but I swapped it for 195/60/15 XM2. Btw, u guys know that we can do online booking for service right? Can select extra jobs that u need them to do or inspect, and will display out the total charge for the service. Quite neat. |

QUOTE(invinciblecky @ Jul 24 2013, 11:49 AM) LOL~went to Service Center just now, the technician also say the same thing to me. he say all almera also same bcoz the screw that the factory originally provide is too short, easy to lose, many customer kena edi. then i ask him, he say almera 'betul betul ada many noise, banyak customer sudah complaint' I not yet do my 1k service, this Sat only go the cit cit cit sound is it from right hand side? near the wheel there? my1 also got this sound since I fix the balancing problem before 1k service. i suspect it from wheel but not sure, bcoz i will only hear that noise when my speed is >90km/h the aircond thing did u send to service center to check? what they have say? The cit cit cit sound is from right hand side, but i think it's not from wheel..sounds like wind noise but i'm not really sure. Only happened when drive >60km/h and need to turn off the radio and pay attention to the noise. It's not very loud or high pitch kind of noise. |

Gone thru 1st service yesterday, RM90.
Asked to fix the exhaust noise. Now fix'ed, didn't hear it for 2 days..need more time to monitor if it will come back or not. Aircon if need to check need to arrange separate time, the aircon guy not here. The loud compressor noise dun think can fix. And when the car go reverse and naik bukit, the aircon power will be cut lower, u will feel the aircon not as cold when reverse. The cit cit cit wind noise also need to arrange another time to check again but it still there in my car. And my side skirting at front part easily scratch and chipped. |

QUOTE(lostasylum @ Jul 29 2013, 09:49 AM) thanks for the information bro... i just got my new grey unit yesterday, and unfortunately, got the exhaust vibration sound. sure enough, the SA told me that it's due to the screw at the back, but he said that one just get it fixed during service.... so i'll have to live with that sound for a bit. yeap, if upgrade from myvi sure like a major upgrade in term of NVH.thankfully no other sounds detected for now, and for a guy used to driving myvi, the smoothness and quietness of the almera is really quite amazing... enjoyed the drive all the way back from showroom to home... anyways, anyone can recommend a good place to service car in PJ? i know there's a huge SC in PJ, but apparently that's always super full sampai must make appointment and all... for the wind noise, maybe u can try if ur car got or not. dun turn on the radio, try to drive around 80km/h or faster. then try to listen the noise from behind driver side..got those cit cit cit sound like metal grinding. |

QUOTE(invinciblecky @ Jul 31 2013, 02:57 PM) before 1k service I complain the cit cit cit sound edi, they say it's Antenna sound, they fixed edi, after that, when I drive my car, the blooding sound still there. so i unplug the Antenna, still hear the noise. so i sent in second time, i tell them not Antenna noise, so they took my car go for test, from morning 8.30am do until afternoon 4.30pm, used up my mileage about 60+km, the damn noise still there. don't know wtf can I do. really can't stand v the damn blooding noise. couldn't be antenna coz the sound came from behind driver but i dunno is from where.the exhaust pipe noise juz fixed it last week, this week come again. really very WTF~ feel like im paying Nissan price but getting Proton car == should be quite easy to hear if u pay attention to it but not to the level of annoying lor. not sure got other users from other forums encountered this problem and fix it or not. |

My latest fuel refill, 12.7km/litre or 7.87litre/100km.
Quite consistent so far for my daily ride routine. Raya will try full highway drive. |

I'll turn off my aircon before turn off my engine and only turn on aircon after start engine. This had been my normal practice since I start driving lol.
Start engine with aircon on will kill off your battery faster if i not mistaken |
